Pfleger Funeral Home Totillo, John Manchester; Oliverie Funeral Home Anthony M. Amoroso, 95, of Newton, died Saturday, October 29, 2016, at home. Born in Jersey City, Anthony lived in Paramus, then retired to Forked River and moved to Newton four years ago. He was a United States World War II Army veteran, serving from 1942 to 1945. A carpenter with Local 253 United Brotherhood of Carpenters in Hackensack, Anthony retired at the age of 62.

The son of the late Enrico and Josephine (nee Collava) Amoroso, Anthony was also predeceased by his wife, Virginia F. Amoroso, on October 17, 2010, as well as six siblings. He is survived by ve children, Nancy Hoffnagle and husband, Terry, of Newton, Mark Amoroso and wife, Sharyn, of Walnut Creek, California, Janet Anstatt and husband, Robert, of Barnegat, Jeffrey Amoroso of Little Ferry, James A. Amoroso and wife, Gloria of Paramus; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Amy, Megan, Arthur, Kevin, Robert, Lily, Grace and Julia. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m.

on Friday, November 4, 2016, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown. ANTHONY M. AMOROSO AGE: 95 NEWTON Charles Barclay, age 43, of Charleroi, PA, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll PA. He was born August 15, 1973, in South Amboy, NJ the son of Elizabeth (Bunting) Barclay and the late James E. Barclay. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers, David and Robert Barclay.

Born in Staten Island, NY she resided in Clark before moving to Toms River in 1985.

She was the wife of the late Lazar Garo who died in 2014 and sister of the late Pericles Thanasoulis. Surviving are her children son Dennis Garo and his wife Gail, her daughter Barbara Emmanouilidis and her husband John. Her cherished grandchildren Joseph and Jennifer Smith, Leah and Andrew Scygiel and Kristen Garo. Also surviving are her 3 great grandchildren and brother Thomas Thana- soulis. Hariclea was a secretary for the ce for the Clark Board of Education, and was very active in her church, St.

Greek Orthodox Church, Toms River. She was a member of the Daughters of Penelope, the Ladies Philoptochos Society, she and her late husband Lazar distributed Government Surplus Food to seniors from the Toms River area, which they did every month for over 2 years. They also designed, complied, edited and published the rst Church Directory. She was a former member of St. in Jersey City and Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in eld, NJ.

Deiter, age 78, of Pine Beach, passed away Saturday October 29, 2016, at his home. Bob was born in Jersey City. He grew up in Bayonne and spent his summers at his home in Beachwood. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army. After marrying his wife, Barbara, they moved to Pine Beach to raise their family.

Bob worked for the USPS for many years, retiring as Postmaster of the Forked River Post ce. He was a member of the National Association of Postmasters of the United States. Bob was an avid outdoors- man and spent many hours surf shing at Island Beach State Park, deer hunting in Pennsylvania and pheasant hunting in New Jersey. He was a member of the Orange Rod Gun Club, Du- shor, Pa; Poppe Gang Deer Hunting Club, Jackson; NJ State Federation of Clubs; a life member of the Ocean County Fish Game Protective Association, where he served as Treasurer for many years and a proud member of the NRA. Bob was a member of the Pine Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Station 38, formerly serving as Vice- President and Trustee and a Life Member of the NJ State Relief Associa- tion.

He loved to travel with his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all. Bob is predeceased by his beloved wife, Barbara, parents, Wesley Rose Deiter, brothers-in-law, James Trotter, James Kidney Walter Heck and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Kidney and Diane McCallum. He is survived by his son, Robert; daughter and son-in-law, Lynne and Andrew Castro; grandchildren, Eric, Meredith, Ally, Alex, Olivia, Nicole, Andrew, Katie Emily; sister, Rosemarie Trotter and her companion Mike Vulpis; sister-in-law, Judy Heck; bother-in-law, Dick McCallum; and his companion Gladys Robbins; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. DEITER AGE: 78 PINE BEACH Maryann Essig, 77, of Middletown, NJ, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family in her home on October 30, 2016. She was born and raised in Irvington and lived in Middletown for most of her life. Maryann worked as a technician for Atlantic Eye Physicians in Holmdel for 37 years before her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Parish in Middletown. Surviving are her son, K. Scott (Susan) Essig of Tinton Falls; daughter, Susan (Michael) Zambuto of Leonardo; grandchildren, K. Christopher, Kyle, Sara, Amy, Mickey, and Nicholas; great-grandchildren, Gage, Christopher, Alonzo, Isabella, and Carmela and many nieces and nephews.

Maryann was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Essig and her parents Willis and Anna Brown. MARYANN ESSIG AGE: 77 MIDDLETOWN Karen Raike Brandon, 51 of Neptune, NJ Entered into eternal life on Saturday, October 29, 2016. She was born in Red Bank, NJ and resided in the shore area before moving to Neptune in 2001. Mrs. Brandon was employed by the Dept. of the Navy at NWS Earle as a Utilities Supervisor for over 30 yrs.

Mrs. Brandon was pre-deceased by her father, Arthur Raike, Jr. She is survived by her son, Kyle and his wife Julia Brandon of Morganville, NJ, her mother, Joan Raike of Eatontown, NJ, a brother Gary Raike of Woodridge, Ill, and her twin sister, Kelly Raike-Brand of Oakhurst, NJ. Interment will be in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown, NJ. KAREN RAIKE BRANDON AGE: 51 NEPTUNE Eileen Graziano (nee Sullivan) passed away on Saturday, October, 29, 2016 at home. She was 89. Born in West New York, NJ. to Daniel and Mabel Sullivan.

She married George Graziano on October 19, 1946 who predeceased her in December 2009. Before moving to Berkeley Twp. in 1982, she resided in Saddle Brook. She is also predeceased by her sister Col. Elenore F.

Sullivan. Eileen was a Eucharist Minister in St. Philip the Apostle in Saddle Brook and St. Barnabas in Bayville. She was also a member of the St.

Maximillian Kolbe Church Altar Rosary Society. She was an original trustee of Sliver Ridge Westerly Home Owners Association and served as treasurer for 11 years and a founding person of the Silver Ridge First Aid Squad and assisted with the formation of many of the clubs of the association. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary 8352. She was a member of the Bocchi team and favorite pastimes were playing Maj Jongg, reading, crosswords and puzzles. Family meant everything to mom and she will be missed more than words can say.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Farrar and her husband Stephen of Jackson. A son Mark and his wife Canice of Fredericksburg, VA; 3 Grand-daughters: Kristen Celii and her husband Antonio of Scotch Plains, Kerri Standowski and her husband Jason, Jill Laiacona and her husband Michael of of VA. A grandson Craig Graziano of VA. Great-Grandsons Dylan Standowski, Lucas Laiacona and Layla Standowski, Julia Laiacone and Kara Celii. A brother Daniel Sullivan and his wife Kathleen of Millersville, MD.
