FISCELLA, 104, LONG BRANCH died Friday at Eatontown Convalescent Cente. Mrs. Fiscella was proprietor with her husband of the Franklin Butcher Shop, Bloomfield.

She was also a seamstress with the international Ladies Garment Workers Union. She was communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Mrs Fiscella was born in Nicosia, Sicily and had come to this country in 1901. She had been a resident of Long Branch for 50 years, coming from Bloomfield. Her husband Vincenzo Fiscella died in 1942.

Surviving are a brother Joseph Fornarotto, West Long Branch, and several nieces and nephews. Damiano Funeral Home, Long Branch, is in charge of the arrangements. moved to California in 1991 to pursue a career as a writer in the motion picture industry. He had written four movie scripts which are pending in the film community on both the East and West Coasts. His mother, June Armstrong Betts, died in 1983 and his father, Allan Betts, died this past August.

Smith, Jackson Township CHARLES W. CHASE of FREEHOLD died yesterday at home. Mr. Chase was a printer for Shop-Rite Supermarket, Freehold, before his retirement last year. Prior to that, he was a printer for Holmdel Township.

He was a member and trustee of the Second Baptist Church, Freehold. He was a member of Mount Horeb Lodge No. 59, Freehold; King Solomon Chapter No. 8, Holy Royal Arch Masons; the Tuisson L'Oveire Chapter No. Knights Templar; the Samuel W.

Gordon Consistory No. 50; AASR; the Mahja Temple No. 47; 1 Jt Services STEPHEN ROBERT BETTS, 41, a musician and writer from the Shore area, died of cancer Oct. 18 at his home in SANTA CRUZ, CALIF. He was known as Stevie Betts and grew up in the Asbury Park area.

He performed in and managed many Shore rock bands. He studied classical guitar at Brookdale Community College, Middletown Township, and wrote several songs including a modern day holiday song, "There's Still Christmas," which he wrote with Dennis Bourke. The song received much publicity in the 1980s because profits from the recording by Richie "LaBamba" Rosenberg were donated to the National Leukemia Society for Cancer Research. member of the First Presbyterian Church at Tower Hill, Red Bank. He attended the First Baptist Church, Red Bank.

He was a member of the Red Bank Rotary Club and the Root Beer and Checkers Club. He was a member of the Shrewsbury Power Squadron and the Train Collectors Association. He was born in Summit and lived in Red Bank for 33 years. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn L. Smith Runyon; a son, Steven V.

SAVAGE, 60, of OLD BRIDGE TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. She was a data operator for First Fidelity Bank, New Brunswick, for ten years before retiring in 1992. She was born in London and lived in the Bronx, N.Y., before moving to Old Bridge 33 years ago. Surviving are her husband, William Savage; three sons, William Savage, Quakertown, Steven Savage, Jackson, and Christopher Savage, Howell; two daughters, Kathryn Acquafredda and Patricia Savage, both Marlboro Township; a sister, Janet Cinque, Spring Valley, N.Y.; and four grandchildren. NANCY GAY SMITH, 79, of TIN-TON FALLS, died Friday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She had been a sales clerk for Woolworths, Red She had also been a sales clerk at the Youth Center of Red Bank. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Red Bank. Mrs. Smith was a member of the Eastern Star of Red Bank.

She was born in Atlantic Highlands and lived in Red Bank and Middletown Township, before moving to Tinton Falls two years ago. Her husband, Ralph Marshall Smith, died in 1992. Surviving are a son, Robert M. Smith, Essex, England; a daughter, Nancy Gay Salmon, Middle-town Township; a sister, Jessie Teed Cauffman, Red Bank; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. EDWARD TOMASULA 61, of OLD BRIDGE TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Raritan Bay Medical Center. He had been a custodian for the Old Bridge Township Board of Education for five years. Before that he had worked for the Monsanto Corporation, Kenilworth, for 20 years. He was born in Newark and lived in Elizabeth before moving to Old Bridge 35 years ago.

Surviving are three sons, Edward Tomasula Jr. and Michael Tomasula, both Old Bridge Township and Steven Tomasula of Sayreville; a daughter, Samantha Tomasula, Old Bridge Township; two brothers, Joseph Tomasula, Lacey Township, and William Tomasula, Kenilworth; two sisters, Mary Tortorello, Jamesburg, and Anna Vaniski, Old Bridge; his former wife, Errell Powers Tomasula; and eight grandchildren. Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge, is in charge of arrangements. EDWARD H. BARTZ, 77, of TOM RIVER, died Friday at Community Medical Center, Toms River.

He worked at Merck's, Rahway, for 44 years, retiring from the shipping and receiving department. He was a life member of the Elks Lodge 1075, Rahway. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal and Distinguished Unit Badge. He was born and lived in Rahway until moving to Toms River eight years ago. The owner of a local radio station had described the single as the "next White Christmas." Of Stevie Betts, he said, "He just had this quality about him. It Betts seemed like his life was so closely related to his talent that it was easy to see he had a flare for creating music and poetry." Betts also studied Neuro Linguistic Programming at the Eastern NLP Institute in Princeton. He His wife, Mary, died in 1979. Surviving are two sons, Robert Bartz, Toms River, and Gary Bartz, Port St. Lucie, two daughters, Patricia Gahr, Brick Township, and Kathleen Uhlak, Lacey Township; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pab-le-Evertz Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, is in charge of arrangements. JOHN BATTIATO, 84, of Holiday City West, BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He had been a barber at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, New York, for 40 years until retiring in 1974. He was born in Italy and came to America in 1925 living in the Bronx until moving to Berkeley Township in 1982. Surviving are his wife, Ann Busca-rino Battiato; a son, John M.

Battiato, Denver; three daughters, Maria Pulice, Harrington Park, Camille Mailman, Mountain Lakes, and Valerie Guido, Lacey; and nine grandchildren. Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. MARY VERGURA BELLOMO, 76, of LAKEHURST, died yesterday at home. She had worked as a teacher at Immaculate Conception School, Mont-clair. Before that she worked with the Catholic Charities Adoption Program, Baltimore.

Mrs. Bellomo also worked for the Union County Welfare Board as a social worker. She was a graduate of Montclair State College and attended Duke University. She was born in Elizabeth.lived in Mendham and moved to Lakehurst 11 years ago. Surviving are her husband, Dr.

Frank R. Bellomo; three sisters, Rose Dellera and Ann ladarola, both Rahway, and Catherine Rocca, Linden; and many nieces and nephews. Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. BETTY M. COLABELLA, 68, of Bordentown whose son lives in LAKEWOOD, died Thursday at Mercer Medical Center, Trenton.

She was a former member of the Bordentown Board of Education from 1965 to 1975. She served as president of the board from 1968-69 and 1973-74. She was a former president of the Bordentown PTA. She was active in Republican politics and was listed in the Who's Who of American Women. She was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Professional Engineers Society of Mercer County.

She was born in Mount Carmel, and lived in Bordentown since 1952. Her husband, Alfred V. Colabella, died in 1992. Surviving are three sons, Alfred V. Colabella III, Bordentown, Robert C.

Colabella, Titusville, and Scott M. Colabella, Lake-wood; a sister, Ada Watkins, Lan-ghorne, and seven grandchildren. Peppier Funeral Home, Bordentown, is in charge of arrangements. She was born in Queens, N.Y., and lived in Old Tappen before moving to Brick 14 years ago. Her husband, Bruce, died in 1992. Surviving are a son, Robert Donald, Blooming Grove, N.Y.; four daughters, Maureen Emma, Succasuna, Diane Donald, Freehold, and Eileen McGau-ran and Rosemary Donald, both Brick; a brother, Bernard Nangle, Montvale; and four grandchildren. Mrs. Anderson was a retied bus driver, having worked for William Anderson Bus Service, a family owned and operated bus service in Millstone Township.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Freehold. Mrs. Anderson was a lifelong resident of Millstone AEAONMS, Bathsheba Chapter No. 10, Heroines of Jericho, all of Asbury Park; and St. Mary's Chapter No.

38, Order of the Eastern Star, Freehold. Mr. Chase was also a member of the Rose of Sharon Chapter No. 4, Order of Scyrene, Newark. She was a communicant of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Middletown Township. She was a member of the Bayshore Seniors Citizens, Middle-town Leisure Club and the RSVP at the Bayshore Senior Center. She was born in Jersey City and was a summer resident of North Middletown since 1948. She moved to North Middle-town resident in 1973.

Her husband, John Mikulak, died in 1987. JOHN BARTON RUNYON, 61, of RED BANK, died Thursday at River-view Medical Center, Red Bank. He owned Directory-Database, Red Bank, for 15 years. He had been employed as a computer specialist by Philip Morris, New York, the Digital Equipment Corp, RCA Cherry Hill, and EAI, Long Branch. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr.

Runjn was a MAUREEN LORETI, 39, of LAKE-WOOD, died Thursday at the South Amboy Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was bom in Staten Island and lived in Old Bridge Township before moving to Lakewood. Surviving are her husband, Michael Loreti; two sons, Michael Loreti and Joseph Loreti, both of Edison Township; two daughters, Kate Loreti and Angelica Loreti, both of Lakewood; two brothers, William Armangeon, Old Bridge Township, and Raymond Armangeon, Hamilton; two sisters, Jean-nie Malakas, Sayreville, and Nancy McGowan, Old Bridge; and her parents, Raymond and Jean Armangeon, Old Bridge. MORROW 61, of TOMS RIVER, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a baker for Super Food-town for six years and before that he. was a baker for Michael's Shop, both Toms River. He was born in Engle-. wood and lived in Dumont before moving to Toms River 20 years ago.

1 Surviving are his wife, Marie Favale Morrow; three daughters, Lisa Pepper, Lacey Township, Nicole Morrow and Judith Morrow, both at home; a brother, Harry Morrow, California; and two grandchildren. Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. MATTHEW MURRIN, 35, of BRICK TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Wanaque Center in Haskill after a long illness. He had been a self employed landscaper in the Brick area for several years. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Point Pleasant Beach.

He was born in Norfolk, and lived in Virginia until moving to Brick 28 years ago. Surviving are his father, William H. LEON FRANCIS RING. 82, of Holiday City Berkeley, BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, died Saturday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He had been a lab technician at The Medical Center, Jersey City, for 21 years before retiring in 1978. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of VFW Post 10185, Holiday City.
