He worked for Keyport Banking and was assistant vice president of First Fidelity Bank, Keyport, and retired in 1973.

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Keyport, a trustee and president of the board of trustees, a Sunday School teacher, superintendent and financial secretary, as well as a choir member. He was born in New York and lived in Keyport most of his life. His wife of 59 years, C. Lorraine Kaufer Carhart, survives with a son, Lawrence, San Diego, and a daughter, Carol, at home. Bedle Funeral Home, Keyport, is in charge of arrangements.

MARY K. CASHMAN of BAY- ONNE, is also survived by two greatgranddaughters. This information was omitted from her obituary in yesterday's Asbury Park Press. DANIEL J. COMMISSO, 37, of HAZLET TOWNSHIP, died Friday at home.

He was a heavy equipment operator for Zimmer Excavating, Neptune, for two years. He was a 1975 Middletown North High School graduate. He was a communicant of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, North Middletown. He was born in Brooklyn and lived in Lincroft, Middletown Township, until moving to Hazlet eight years ago.

Surviving are his wife, Joann Sheehan Commisso; two daughters, Danielle and Theresa, at home, his father, Louis Commisso, Brick Township; his mother, Frances Commisso, Tinton SERVICES BIERNACKI Alexander Leo. 81, Toms River. HENRY H. NAPIER, 98, of KEY- PORT, died Friday at Bayshore Community Hospital Care Center, Holmdel Township. He was a conductor-engineer for Weyerhauser Klamath Falls, where he worked 40 years before retiring in 1962. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge 77, Klamath Falls, and a national life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Bly, Ore. He was born in Breathette County, and he lived in Bly before moving in 1991 to Keyport.

His wife, Martha Allen, died in 1976. Surviving are his daughter, Beverly Ann Galasso, Keyport; five grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. FLORENCE OPPERMAN of OCEAN TOWNSHIP, was born in Russia and came to America as a child living in New York and Clark until moving to Ocean three months ago. IRENE PAPPAS, 93, of Jackson- ville, formerly of KEANSBURG, died Oct. 15 at Taylor Care Center, Jacksonville, Fla. She and her husband owned and operated a grocery store, Pappas' Grocery and Market, in Keansburg from 1945 to 1973. She was born in Harrison and lived in Hazlet Township, Newark, and Keansburg until moving to Jacksonville five years ago. Her husband, Tom Pappas, predeceased her.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Harriott, Union Beach, and Tom Pappas, Jacksonville; a daughter, Margaret Robinson, Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Arlington Park Funeral Home, Jacksonville, was in charge of arrangements. FREDERICK L. RAFFERTY, 76, of Fair Lawn, formerly of LONG BRANCH, died Wednesday at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. He was the owner and operator of the Rafferty Refrigerator Service, Paterson, from 1945 until the present time.

He was an Army World War II veteran. He was a Long Branch High School graduate and was a member of the 1936-1938 football squad. He was born in Long Branch and lived in Long Branch and Paterson until moving to Fair Lawn 45 years ago. Surviving are his wife, June Peiker Rafferty; two sons, Ronald, at home, and James, Brielle; a daughter, Susan King, Manasquan; two brothers, Eugene Rafferty and Paul Rafferty, both Long Branch, two sisters, Vivian Krupka, Tobyhanna, and Joan Whelan, Long Branch, and five grandchildren. RONALD RESNICK, 57, of FREE- HOLD, died yesterday in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He worked at the Old Bridge Post Office for 15 years and retired in 1987. He was the current service officer and chaplain for American Legion Post 54, Freehold, and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was commander of the Jewish War Veterans Olglinsky Jackson Post 359, Freehold, and on the board of directors of the Stonehearst Association. He was born in New Brunswick and lived many years in Englishtown before moving 25 years ago to Freehold.

His wife, Sandra Berg Resnick survives with a daughter, Marjorie, at home; four brothers, Harvey, Naples, Theodore, San Antonio, Texas; Leonard, Green Valley, and Robert, Chandler, Ariz. BloomfieldCooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan Township, is in charge of arrangements. ANNA L. STEVENS, 60, of Oakhurst, OCEAN TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. Mrs.

Stevens was employed with PerkinElmer, Oceanport, before retiring four years ago. She was a member of the Brunswick Monmouth Lanes bowling team, Long Branch. Born in Red Bank she had been a lifelong resident of the area. Surviving are her husband, Howard Stevens; two sons, Eugene Snyder, Toms River, and Kevin Stevens, Oakhurst; five daughters, Terry Snyder, Freehold; Robin Stevens, Monica Greco, and Alison Stevens, all of Oakhurst, and Stephanie Burke, Salt Lake City; two brothers, Thomas Mc Bride, Washington, and Jack Mc Bride, Oregon; one sister, Betty Comella, Fort Lee, and three grandchildren. LESTER E. TAYLOR 74, of ASBURY PARK, died Friday at home. He worked for the Long Branch Sanitation Department for 15 years until retiring 10 years ago. He was an Army World War II veteran. He worked for Tiny's Auto Body Shop in Red Bank as a mechanic for 20 years.

He was born in Eatontown and lived in Long Branch until moving to Asbury Park. His wife, Martha A. Lee Taylor, died in 1984. Surviving are two sons, Lester E. Taylor Long Branch, and Army Spec.

He was a carpenter for the Giulani Construction Atlantic Highlands, until retiring in 1984. He was a communicant of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Atlantic Highlands, and an Army World War II veteran. He was born in New York where he lived until moving to Atlantic Highlands in 1939. His son, Gary P.

Vaughan, died in 1986. Surviving are his wife, Doreen Shader Vaughan; a daughter, Deborah Vawter, Rumson; two sisters, Florence Cowden, River Plaza, Middletown Township, and Nancy Boyle, California, and two grandchildren. VRECENAK, 83, of MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He owned and operated the Bill Vee Amusements, Middletown, for 47 years until retiring in 1993. He was an Army World War II veteran and a lieutenant colonel in Air Force Reserve. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2648, North Bergen, and American Legion Post 493, Little Egg Harbor Township. He was a member of the Mystic Island Civic Association and the Redmen's Club Pohatcong Tribe 61, Little Egg Harbor.

He was born in West New York and lived in Mystic Island until moving to Middletown this year. Surviving are a son, William Brooklyn; two daughters, Mary Jo Whateley, Monroe, N.Y., and Sue Ann Sullivan, Middletown; a stepdaughter, Donna Kelly, Somerville; a brother, Charles, Clifton; a sister, Helen Frey, Hawthorne, and nine grandchildren. FERGUSON AUL, 72, of TOMS RIVER, died Friday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was employed by the Commercial Trust Middletown Township, for over 40 years retiring as a bank manager in 1984. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. She was a Community Medical Center volunteer for several years.

Mis. Aul was born in Long Branch and lived most of her life in Monmouth County until moving to Toms River in 1983. Her husband, Arthur Aul, died in 1963. Surviving are a brother, James V. Ferguson, Virginia, and a sister, Dorothy Schultz, Berkeley Township.

BANDELLI, 72, of Silver Ridge Park West, BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He worked for Consolidated Edison Electric N.Y., for 30 years until retiring in 1980 as a senior coordinator. He was an Army World War II veteran.

He was a member of the Silver Ridge Park West Chapter, American Association of Retired Persons, Toms River. He was born in Spring Lake and lived in Brooklyn 1 until moving to Toms River in 1981. Surviving are his wife, Mary Foronjy Bandelli; a son, Jim, East Brunswick Township; a daughter, Marylou Bandelli, Howell Township; a brother, Andre, Scarsdale, N.Y., and five grandchildren. She was a telemarketer. Mrs. Haas was a communicant of St. Thomas More R.C. Church, Manalapan Township.

Surviving are three sons, John T. Haas, Morganville, Marlboro Township, and Jason R. and Mark C. Haas, both at home; her mother, Florence Lachard Philbin, Cranford; two sisters, Carol Senff, Warren, and Patricia Traynor, Roselle. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements.

THEODORE HOFFMAN, 89, of Wickatunk Village, Morganville, MARLBORO TOWNSHIP, died Thursday at Atlantic City Medical Center, Pomona, Galloway Township. He worked 15 years as a motorcycle police officer for the New York Police Department and also worked in the Holland Tunnel, retiring in 1941. He was a member of the Holiday Beagle Club in Monmouth County. He was born in West Orange and lived in Union City and New York. He moved in 1941 to Morganville.

He is survived by a daughter, Joan DelVecchia, Brigantine; a sister, Edna Rhodes, Livingston, and two grandchildren. Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, is in charge of arrangements. THOMAS E. JUINTA, 62, of HOLMDEL TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at home. He was proprietor of Cottman Transmission, Shrewsbury, for 20 years.

He was a communicant of St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, Holmdel. He was a member of the Garden State Radio Club, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the Middletown Radio Amateur Communication Emergency System. Mr. Juinta was a 1954 Newark College of Engineering graduate.

He was a captain in the Air Force from 1954 to 1956. He was born in Newark and lived in Hazlet until moving to Holmdel 25 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Joan Manfredi Juinta, a son, Thomas Marlboro, and a daughter, Tracey Juinta, at home. Holmdel Funeral Home, Holmdel Township, is in charge of arrangements. MARY E.

MOTLEY, 72, of NEP. TUNE, died Friday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church, Asbury Park, and its usher board. She was born in Jamesville, Va. and has lived in Neptune for over 40 years.

Her husband, William, died in 1973. Surviving are. a daughter, Ruth Williamson, Neptune; two sisters, Susie Hatton, Millsboro, and Clara Onley, Jamesville, two brothers, Lewis Onley, Jamesville, and Morris ALEXANDER L. BIERNACKI, 81, of Silver Ridge Park West, TOMS RIVER, died Wednesday at home. He worked 42 years as a driver for United Parcel Service, Edison Township, and retired in 1975.

He served in the Navy during World War II and he was a member of Silver Ridge Park West Men's Club. He was born in Jersey City and he lived in Edison and Newark before moving to Toms River. His wife, Estelle, died in 1989. He is survived by a son, Leo, McLean, Va. Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements.

SALVATORE J. BUDA, 83, of STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, died Fri- day in Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford. He worked 25 years as a maintenance man for Manhattan Refrigeration, New York, and retired in 1973. He was born in New York and he lived in Jersey City before moving 17 years ago to Stafford. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Anna Vaccaro Buda; a son, Salvatore West Milford; three daughters, Josephine Zaccone, Lakewood; Carmela VonVisser, Neptune, and Rose Ann Crappse, Manahawkin, Stafford; a brother, Steven, Port Washington, N.Y.; a sister, Lena Vicino, Port Richey, 13 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin, is in charge of arrangements. LILLIAN COHEN, 67, of BRICK TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. She was born in Brooklyn and lived 10 years in East Windsor Township before she moved 15 years ago to Brick. Surviving are her husband, Herman; two sons, Steven Kalinich, Point Pleasant, and Howard Cohen, New York; two daughters, Wendy Klein, Lawrenceville, and Stephanie Reina, Kendall Park, and a brother, Jack Kallsh, Florida, and four grandchildren.

Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan Township, is in charge of arrangements. THOMAS L. COOPER, 52, Bernardsville and MANTOLOKING, died Friday at Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield. He was vice president and group publisher for CMP Publications, Manhasset, N.Y., for 17 years, and he retired in 1988. He served in the Navy.

He was born in Newark and he lived in Plainfield. He owned homes in Bernardsville and Mantoloking for the past six years. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Titus Cooper; three sons, Mark, New York; Jonathan, Bernardsville, and Christopher, Durango, his father, Lewis, Southbury, and a sister, Martha Fiorentini, Haverhill, Mass.
