A8 Asbury Park PressSaturday, February 6, 1988 Obituaries Deaths Myrtle mchols cusick, 59, of Port Monmouth, Middletown Township, died yesterday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was a teacher's aide for the Middletown Board of Education for Harold Small II, car accident victim BRICK TOWNSHIP Harold Small II, 25, a sailor, and co-owner of a sail making and repair business, died Thursday at Brick Hospital division of The Ocean County Medical Center of injuries he sustained in a car accident. Mr. Small, known as "Chip," made sails, and was co-owner of Colie Sails Bay Head, for the past two years. "He had a real flair for life, and he had a love for sailing," said Dev Colie, co-owner of the business.

Mr. Small raced 28-foot Scows in inland waters competition and in PHRF competition offshore. He was a 1980 graduate of Brick High School. ALICE M. STEEN, 62, of Crestwood Village, Whiting, Manchester Township, died Thursday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River.

She was a clerk for Dumont Borough for two years, retiring in 1979. Prior to that she was a clerk for Prentice-Hall Book for iVi years, retiring in 1966. Mrs. Steen was an organist and first president of the Widow and Widowers Club, Bergen County. She was the Manchester Seniors, Woman's Club of Friendship Hall, Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars Whiting Memorial Post 8745.

Mrs. Steen was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, a Eucharistic minister, and communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Whiting. Born in New York, she lived in ClifTside Park, and Dumont, moving to Whiting in 1980. Her husband, Milford, died in 1974.

Surviving are a son, Lt. Col. Kenneth Fayetteville, N.C.; her father, Edward Shore, New York, and two grandchildren. Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting, is in charge of Out Of Area John s. prokopiak, 40, of Woodbridge Township, died yesterday at John F.

Kennedy Medical Center, Edison Township. He was a furniture handler for Dunhill Furniture Dunellen. Mr. Prokopiak was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Woodbridge.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Born in Perth Amboy, he lived there most of his life, moving to Wood-bridge 10' years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Patricia Ann Holt; his parents, Adam and Anna Dunham Prokopiak, Parlin, Sayreville; three sisters, Carol Prokopiak, and Ann Prokopiak, both of Parlin, and Beverly Yuro, Jackson Township; three brothers, Adam Billings, and Thomas and Steven, both of Brick Township, and 19 nieces and nephews. BALDWIN, 98, of Belmar, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was sales manager of General Cigar Paterson, for 25 years, retir- ing in 1954. Mr. Baldwin was a World War I Army veteran. Born in Newark, he lived in Bloomfield, moving to Belmar in 1952.

His wife, Dorothy, died in 1949. Surviving are two sons, Lawrence, Belmar, and Robert, Hackensack; two stepdaughters, Challis Regan, and Claire Schopther, both of Bloomfield; four grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren. INIKOLAJ GRINEWICZ, 77, of Spring Lake Heights, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a butcher at Charles Miller North Bergen, for many years, retiring in 1976. Mr. Grinewicz was a member of Russian Brotherhood Organization, Rova Farms, Jackson Township, and Amalgamated Meat Cutters Butcher Workmen Union Local 174, West New York. He played the accordion at Rova Farms restaurant for many years.

Bom in Russia, he came to this country in 1952. He lived in Jersey City, moving to Spring Lake Heights 30 years ago. Surviving are her husband, Joseph; a daughter, Theresa Camarda, Born in Nanticoke, he lived in Washington, D.G, moving to the Shore area in 1943.

Ocean Adolph s. godouse, 85, of Point Pleasant, died yesterday at Point Pleasant Hospital division of The Ocean County Medical Center.

He was a carpenter and cabinet maker for Mr. Paul's Cabinets, Wall Township, retiring in 1980. Born in Harrison Township, he lived in Westwood, moving to the Point Pleasant area 40 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Helen E. Spencer; two sons, Adolph S.

He was a member of Bishop Weig-er 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Irvington. Born in New Haven, he lived in Irvington, moving to Manchester four years ago. His son, Donald, died in 1987. Herbert koehler brown, 71, of Brick Township, died Wednesday at Point Pleasant Hospital division of The Ocean County Medical Center. He was a chief test engineer with Avco-Lycoming, Stratford, from 1962 until retiring in 1983. Mr. Brown was a graduate of Rutgers University and University of Toledo Law School. He was a 40-year member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

Born in Kenosha, he lived in Linden and Connecticut for 25 years before moving to Brick. His wife, the former Sara Eva Shaw, died in 1987. Surviving are a son, Bruce Brown, Newtown, a daughter, Barbara Neale, Manassas, two sisters, Virginia Mertz, Brick, and Gloria Butler, Knightstown, a devoted friend, Delores Esposito, and four grandchildren. Tuzeneu Red Bank Monmouth James McGrady, former vestryman OCEAN TOWNSHIP James McGrady, 86, of Wanamassa, died yesterday at Applewood Manor, Freehold Township. Mr. McGrady was a 60-year member of Trinity Episcopal Church, Asbury Park, and was a former vestryman of the church. Mr. McGrady was a truck driver for Exxon, Linden, for 38 years, retiring 24 years ago.

He was a member of Asbury Park Masonic Lodge 142, Scottish Rite Valley of Trenton, and Crescent Temple, Shrine of Trenton. Born in Southfield, N.Y., he lived in Neptune, moving to Wanamassa 43 years ago. His wife, the former Margaret Hal-deman, died in 1977. Surviving are a son, James R. McGrady, Manalapan Township; two grandchildren, and four great-grand-phildren.

Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements. WlLBUR STIVERS, 84, of Neptune City, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a retired machinist at Camp Evans, Wall Township, for 17 years, retiring in 1965. Mr. Stivers was a member of the Neptune Sportsman's Club.

He was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Asbury Park. Born in Asbury Park, he was a lifelong resident of the Shore area. Surviving is his wife, the former Marion Rice. She had worked as a nurse's aide for All Health Care Services Mid-dlctown Township, since last spring. Born in Neptune, she lived in Fair Haven most of her life. Lake was a communicant of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, Brick. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Born in Penn Yan, N.Y., he lived in Elizabeth many years. He moved to Matawan eight months ago, and to Brick four days before his death.

Surviving are his wife, the former Josephine Lucisano; a son, Gary, Bloomsbury; two daughters, Theresa Burns, Brick, and Catherine Cznarecki, Matawan, and five grandchildren. He was employed by Lou Garabo Plumbing, Beach Haven. Prior to that he was employed by Beach Haven Plumbing for 35 years, leaving that company in 1982.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church, Manahawkin. He was a Navy veteran of World Warll. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Manahawkin all of his life. Surviving are his wife, the former Janet Bragg; two sons, John Galloway Township, and Edward Jersey City; a daughter, Janette Hansen, Rock-ville, his mother, Mary, Manahawkin; a brother, Otto, Surf City, and two grandsons. Her husljand, retired Newark Police Lt. William Petroll, died in 1981. Her husband, Neil, died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Neil Toms River; a sister, Isabel Watson, Scotland; three grandsons, and six great-grandchildren. He was a former employee of Walter Reade theaters. Mr. Navatier was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Brick, and the American Association of Retired Persons, Brick. Born in Newark, he lived in East Orange and Ocean Grove, moving to Brick 13 years ago.
