OCEAN ROSE ADRAGNA, 87, of LAKE- WOOD, died Sunday at Laurelton Gardens Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church and the Church of the Visitation, both of Brick. Born in New York City, she lived in Queens before moving to Lakewood 12 years ago. Her husband, Vincenzo, died in 1978.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Arrante of Brick, and Sally Rahm of Lakewood; a nephew and niece, John and Debbie Arrante of Brick; and a nephew, Peter Arrante of Avenel, Woodbridge. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at D'Elia Funeral Home, Highway 70 and Vermont Avenue, Lakewood. A funeral Mass will be offered 9 a.m.

JOSEPH H. AQUINO, 78, of Holiday City South, BERKELEY, died Sunday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a business manager for Gem Electronics East Brunswick, for 27 years, retiring Jan. 1, 1975. He was a World War II Army veteran and served from 1943 to 1945 with the rank of corporal.

He was a member of the Italian American Club, West Palm Beach, Fla. Born in Queens, he lived in Boynton Beach, for 17 years and prior to that, he was a resident of East Brunswick for 30 years. He moved to Holiday City South six months ago. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Theresa Loguirato Aquino; two daughters, Patricia Walls of Wilmington, N.C., and Judith Timmerman of Howell; a son, Joseph Aquino of Lake Worth, seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m.

Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown. QUINN-HOPPING Dignity' TOMS RIVER, N.J. 240-3800 WALTER E. BOZNANSKI, 97, of BRICK, died Sunday at home. He worked for the New York City Transit driving trolleys, trains and buses for 44 years, retiring in 1972.

He was a communicant of the Church of the Visitation, Brick. Born in Holyoke, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Brick in 1981. Surviving are his wife Blanche Majkowski Boznanski; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Linda Boznanski of Yorba Linda, and Edward and Carol of Chatham; five grandchildren, Ashley and Brittany, Brent, Kerry, and Blake; and two great grandchildren, Brady and Bryn. He was a member of the Union Church of Lavallette. Born in Brooklyn, he lived in Roselle Park and summered in Lavallette since 1950. He became a full-time resident of Lavallette in 1980 and moved to Holiday City South eight years ago. His wife, Helen Grosh Dean, died in 1985. Surviving are a son, William of Dayton, Ohio; and a daughter, Judith Dean of Toms River.

DERMODY, 75, of BRICK, died yesterday at Brick Hospital, Brick. He was a controller of Curtiss Wright, WoodRidge, retiring in 1986. He was a Navy veteran serving as a seaman first class, in Navy intelligence for two years in Hawaii. He was a graduate of New York University where he received a bachelor of science degree. He was a member of the Wood-Ridge Board of Health, and the Knights of Columbus, Hohokus.

At Greenbriar II, he served three years on the finance committee, two years as president, and two years as finance committee chairman and was also active in two bowling leagues and the men's golf club. Born and raised in Carlstadt, he lived in Hohokus and WoodRidge before moving to Brick 16 years ago. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Lillian "Lynn" Jahn Dermody; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathleen Dermody of Newton, and Patricia and Raymond Lewandowski of Point Pleasant; a brother, William E. Dermody and five grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs.

Ronald Emma, Michael Emma, Brian Emma, James Lewandowski and Shannon Lewandowski. A memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Epiphany, Brick. Interment will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Brig.

JANICE M. FISHER, of LAKEHURST, died Sunday at her daughter's home in Bayville, Berkeley. She was a member of the Elks, Lakewood. Born in Lewistown, she was a lifelong resident of Lakehurst. Her husband, Robert died in 1991.

JAMES WILLIAM MC NAMARA 78, of Jen- sen Beach, formerly of JACKSON, died yesterday at his daughter's home in Lanoka Harbor, Lacey. He was the former owner of Ascot Runne Kennels, Jackson, for 18 years, retiring in 1992. He was previously employed as a millwright by Koppers Corporation, Maryland, retiring in 1982. He was a Navy veteran, serving from 1941 to 1947. He had assignments aboard the USS Polaris; USS Monterey, where his gunnery officer was former President Gerald Ford; USS Jaguar and the USS Houston.

He received the World War Il Victory Medal, American Defense Medal, American Theater Medal, European African Middle Eastern Area Medal and the Asiatic-Pacific Area Medal with two stars. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Neptune. Born in Providence, R.I., he lived in Jackson before moving to Jensen Beach, 10 years ago. He was predeceased by two sons, James McNamara Jr. and Gary McNamara; and a sister, Edith McMillan.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Phyllis Joan McNamara; two sons, Peter McNamara of Brick, and John McNamara of Florida; two daughters, Jennifer Tango of Lanoka Harbor, Lacey, and Sheila Clawson of Brick; 12 grandchildren; and two greatgrandchildren. MILLER, 66, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was a homemaker all her life. She was a member of the Ocean County Alliance Church in Beckerville, Manchester. She co-founded the Merry Singles group of Cedar Glen Lakes, Manchester. She was a member of the bowling club and was active in arts and crafts in Cedar Glen Lakes.

Born in Perth Amboy, she lived most of her life there before moving to Manchester in 1989. Her husband, William Miller, died in 1991. Surviving are her companion, Arthur Campbell of Whiting; two sons, Doug Gregory of Lakehurst and Kevin Gregory of Mount Laurel; a daughter, Evelina Friedman of Perth Amboy; a brother, Richard Hydo of Michigan; two sisters, Roberta Koracs of Perth Amboy, and Karen Fisher of Phoenix; five grandchildren; and two great There is no visitation. He was a draftsman and foreman for Sun Dial and Panel, Fairfield, for 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Justin's Roman Catholic Church, Toms River. He was a former parishioner of St. John Kanty Roman Catholic Church, Clifton.

He was a gunner's mate first class in the Navy, serving aboard the USS Massachusetts and the USS Epping Forrest during World War II. Born in Passaic, he lived in Clifton for 35 years before moving to Toms River in 1986. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Paul; and a sister, Margaret Della Penta. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Anne Snyder Polyak; three daughters, Carol Gurney of Nutley, Deborah Dockery of Rockaway, and Pamela Maggio of Kinnelon; seven grandchildren and four randdaughters. He served in the Army as chief of firing battery in field artillery for 20 years, retiring in 1975. He served in Vietnam in the 6th Battalion, 29th Artillery, receiving the Silver Star and Bronze Star. He served most of his career in Germany, then retired from Fort Dix in 1975 with the rank of sergeant first class. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Sullivan Road, Brick, and Point Pleasant Moose. Born in Juanita, N.D., he lived in Germany and Fort Dix before moving to Brick in 1975.

Surviving are his wife, Maria Kucher Romelfanger; three sons, Gery of New Orleans, Donald of Tinton Falls, and Ronney of Brick; a daughter, Tammy Lash of Brick; his twin brother, James of North Dakota; a sister, "Sis" Kitty Ferebee and family of Brick; and six grandchildren. Born in Humacao, Puerto Rico, he lived in Puerto Rico before moving to Lakewood 10 years ago. A son, Roberto, died in 1994. Surviving are a son, Carlos of New York; four daughters, Luz Maria, Anglina and Olga, all of Puerto Rico, and Aida of New Jersey; two brothers, Ramon of Puerto Rico, and Simiro of New York; four sisters, Olivia of New Jersey, and Carmen, Provi and Ana, all of Puerto Rico; 18 grandchildren; and 13 greatgrandchildren. Catherine Boulevard, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. NORMAN E. SMITH, 94, of MANCHESTER, died yesterday at Manchester Manor Nursing Home. He was a concert pianist and a piano teacher for many years. He was a child prodigy, making his concert debut at the age of 4, and at age 6 won a gold medal at the Panama Pacific International Exposition.

He studied under legendary piano teacher Theodor Leschetizky for 14 years. He also worked as an insurance executive for 43 years for Home Insurance Co. in New York and San Francisco, retiring in 1972. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving from 1943 to 1945 as a staff sergeant. He was a communicant of St.

John's Church. He taught Italian to the residents of Leisure Village West. He was a life member of the Deborah Heart and Lung Association and a member of the LVW art appreciation club and travel club. Born in San Francisco, he lived in New York City for eight years before moving to Manchester 27 years ago. Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Rose Potenza Smith; and two nieces and a nephew.

Visitation will be 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. A Funeral Liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Church, Lakehurst, followed by a private cremation.

of Bloomfield for many years, retiring in 1960. She was a former member of the Fist Lutheran Church of East Orange. She was a member of Skansen Lodge of the Vasa Club of America and Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Toms River. Born in MONMOUTH RICHARD M. VETH.

54, of MIDDLETOWN, died Sunday at home, after a courageous bout with cancer. He was an industrial arts teacher and a legendary baseball coach in the Middletown Township School District for 32 years, retiring in 2001. He was a 1965 graduate of Middletown Township High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree from Western Kentucky University in 1969. He later received a master's of education degree in administration from Kean University, Union.

He was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in New Monmouth. He was a beloved husband and a loving father, brother and uncle. As the head coach at Middletown North from 1979 to 2001, his teams amassed a record of 378-189-2, won six Shore Conference A North titles, two NJSIAA Central Jersey Group IV crowns, one overall Shore Conference Championship and three Monmouth County crowns. The baseball field at Middletown High School North was dedicated in his honor in March 2001.

He was inducted into the Middletown Lion Hall of Fame and the Jersey Shore Athletic Hall of He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick E. Veth and Catherine Martin Veth. Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Jane Potskanik Veth; a daughter, Victoria J. and her fiancee, Brian Foody of Florence; a son, William at home; six brothers and three sisters-in-law, Frederick E. of Nescopeck, Robert J.

80, of LONG BRANCH, died Saturday at Monmouth Care Center, Long Branch. He was a light fixture maker for Bergen Metal and Art, Shrewsbury. He was a veteran of the Army, serving two enlistments during World War II. Born in Baltimore, he lived in 1 Long Branch for the last 20 years. He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Tara Lynn Wrzesinski Thomas, on April 10.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Edna Reitemeyer Wrzesinski; a son, John E. Wrzesinski Jr. of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelley Wrzesinski and James Brown of Long Branch; a granddaughter, great great-grandchildren. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Interment will be private. DOROTHY J. ZOUBEK, 85, of SPRING LAKE HEIGHTS, died Saturday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was an accountant for McGraw-Edison Industries, West Orange, and Zoubek Associates, Parlin, Sayreville, before retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake, and a member of SCAMP, the Women's Club of Spring Lake, Trendsetters, AARP, Christ Child of St. Mark's Rosary, and the Spring Lake Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Born in Irvington, she lived in the Oranges before moving to Spring Lake Heights 28 years ago. Surviving are a brother, Arthur J.

of Tinton Falls; two sisters-in-law; six nieces and nephews; and many grandnieces, grandnephews, andnieces and great-grandnephews. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at O'Brien Funeral Home, Highway 35 at New Bedford Road, Wall. A funeral service will be held 9 a.m.

Thursday from the Hoboken, she lived in Aland, Finland, before returning to the United States in 1926, living mostly in Bloomfield. Surviving are her husband of 71 years, Eric R. Swenson; two daughters, Marion Burke of Toms River, and Betty Bauchie of Winter Spring, seven grandchildren and 10 greatgrandchildren. TUNNINGTON, 86, of BRICK, died Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a right-ofway claims agent for New York Telephone, Staten Island, for 34 years, retiring in 1980.

He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the Brick Elks; the Lakehurst Navy League Golf Club, Lakehurst; and the Lionel Train Collectors Association; and a former member of the American Legion, Staten Island. He was a communicant of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, Brick. Born in Philadelphia, he lived in Staten Island before moving to Brick in 1984.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth McMahon Tunnington; a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Tunnington of Brick; a daughter and sonin-law, Teresa Tunnington and Richard Riccelli of Freehold; and two grandchildren, Thomas Joseph Tunnington and Tara Riccelli. She was a graduate of Elizabeth General Hospital School of Nursing and a practicing registered nurse for 40 years. She was active in various organizations, including Eastern Star Faith Chapter, The Van Voorhees Association and St. Mary by the Sea Episcopal Church, Point Pleasant Beach.

Surviving are her husband, Michael Barro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Carl V. and Virginia Jorgensen, and Kurt P. and Jamie Jorgensen; a daughter, Johanna B. Jorgensen; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Iris Voorhees and family; and two grandchildren, Lacey C. Jorgensen and Jimmy I.

BARBARA A. ZOLEZZI, 95, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Saturday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. She was employed by Flemington Furs. Born in Flemington, she lived there most of her life before moving to Whiting in 1970. She was predeceased by her first husband, Gabriel Farrari, and her second husband, Gus Zolezzi.

Surviving are Dorothy Wolff, Edward Klein, Robert Klein, Lawrence Klein, Marie Klein, Rita Bruno, Julia Simon, Helen Carney; and many greatnieces and nephews. Calling hours will be from 9 to 10 a.m. today at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. MARGARET ZSIGA, 77, of Hol- iday City, BERKELEY, died Sunday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She worked for Bamberger's in Wayne, then at Macy's in the Ocean County Mall, Toms River, for many years.

She attended Pinelands Reformed Church, Toms River. Born in Manhattan, she lived in Pompton Lakes before moving to Berkeley 15 years ago. Her husband, Arthur, died in 1984. Surviving are a son, William of Glendale, a daughter, Debbie of Springfield; and four grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.

and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 10 a.m.
