DS Asbury Park PressWed, Oct 24, 1 984 Rowing regatta joins Garden State Games calendar NEWEST GARDEN State Games event is a rowing regatta set for Nov. 1 1 on Princeton's Lake Carnegie. Boats include surf dorys, recreational shells and racing shells. Race organizer is John Quinn of Englishtown. There will be male and female divisions for juniors (under 19), masters (over 27) and open competition.

The N.J. Rowing Club of Fair Haven will send a complete team. Applications for the event can be obtained by writing the club, 41 Briarwood Road, Fair Haven, 07701. Deadline for returning applications is Nov. 1.

Call Charles Gross at 870-5162 for more information. Southern Regional High School would like to hire a head Middle School cheerleading advisor. Candi- seeks a girls freshman basketball coach. A teaching certificate is required. Call athletic director Ken Szyarto at 739-0800 for details.

The Big Blue Booster Club and the Manasquan Football Club will co-sponsor a cocktail party from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday at the Columns Restaurant, Avon. Georgian Court College's karate team will participate in the nationals in Los Angeles Nov. 1-6. The Georgian Court cross-country team will compete in the NAIA Nationals at the University of Wisconsin, Nov. 15-18. The Central N.J.

Eastern Surfing Association will hold its first Marsh Scholarship surfing competition Nov. 23 at Casino Pier, Seaside There will be divisions for competitors in the 10 through 50 age group.
