Ramos-Eleazar, 39; physician at hospital FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP Dr. Coracon Ramos. a staff physician at the Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Clinic of Lincoln Medical-Mental Health Center, New York, died yesterday at Memorial Hospital, New York. She was 39 and lived on Ethan Allen Road, here.

She was born in Penaranda, the Philippines, and lived in New York before moving here six months ago. Dr. Ramos-Eleazar was a graduate of the University of Santo Tomas, the Philippines. She interned at Somerset Hospital, Somerville, and served a residency at St. Michael's Hospital, Newark.

She received fellowships from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Harlem Hospital, both New York. Dr. Ramos-Eleazar was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, here. Surviving are her husband, Antonio Eleazar; two sons, Eric G.

and Andrew both at home; five brothers, Dr. Severino Ramos, the Rev. Octavio Ramos, Francisco Ramos, Celso Ramos and Bayain Ramos, all the Philippines, and three sisters, Mrs. Cleotilde R. Jardiel and Mrs.

Erodita Maniquis, both the Philippines, and Miss Cely Ramos, here. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements. JOHN A. WATERS CANOGA PARK, Calif. John A.

Waters, a former resident of Asbury Park, N.J., died Thursday at his home. He was 41. He was born in Neptune, N.J., and lived in Asbury Park for many years before moving here five years ago. Mr. Waters was a self-employed painting contractor.

He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Roman Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Jeannie; two sons, John A. Jr. and Calvin, and a daughter, Susan Waters, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Mary Waters, and two brothers, Thomas and Raymond, all here; his twin sister, Mrs.

Johanna Ferrara, Neptune, and four other sisters, Mrs. Betty Scymore, Mrs. Dolly Romano and Mrs. Jane Ingaro, all here, and Mrs. Ina Mecca, Passaic, N.J.

The J.T. Oswald Mortuary, Reseda, is in charge of arrangements. FLORENCE KRESS KAUFMANN BRICK TOWNSHIP Mrs. Florence Kress Kaufmann, 77, died Thursday at Point Pleasant Hospital. She was born in Newark and lived there until moving here 11 years ago.

Mrs. Kaufmann was a member of the Wolff Presbyterian Church, Newark, and its Ladies Aid Society. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Newark. Her husband, Edwin M. Kaufmann, died in 1969.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth M. Widmaier, Rumson, and Mrs. Carolyn F. Wagner, here; a brother, Walter C.

LEESBURG, Va. John A. Africano a former resident of Long Branch, N.J., died here Wednesday. He was 44. He was born in Long Branch and lived in California before moving here 12 years ago.

Mr. Africano worked for the Federal Communications Commission, Washington, D.C. He was a 1956 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School, Red Bank, N.J. He was a member of the Optimist Club of the American Heart Association, here, and a coach for the County of Louden Soccer Association. Surviving are two sons, John A.

III, at home, and Vincent here; a daughter, Miss Erin-Kelly Africano, Van Nuys, his mother, Mrs. Ella M. Africano, Oceanport, N.J., and a sister, Joy Arlene Africano, Fort Myers Beach, Fla. The Robert A. Braun, Home for Funerals, Eatontown, N.J., is in charge of arrangements.

ELLEN C. HOTALING LACEY TOWNSHIP Mrs. Ellen C. Hotaling died Thursday at her home. She lived in Forked River.

She was born in Union Deposit, and lived in East Orange before moving here 14 years ago. Mrs. Hotaling was a member of Bethlehem Chapter 40, Order of the Eastern Star, and the Women's Club, here. She attended the Methodist Church, here. Her husband, Harold Walter, died in 1978.

COOKE MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP Miss Elizabeth R. Cooke, a retired office supervisor, died Thursday at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank. She was 70 and lived on Crestview Drive. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y, where she lived until moving here two months ago. Miss Cooke retired in 1978 after 20 years as an office supervisor for the Maritime Union, Brooklyn.

She was a member of the Socialites Club, Bay Ridge, the Fort Hamilton Senior Citizens Club, St. Anselm's Parish and the Searfarers International, all Brooklyn. Surviving are two nieces, Mrs. Mary Ellen Marzullo, with whom she lived, and Mrs. Patricia Wilkins, Hazlet Township.

Mrs. Egerton worked as a laboratory operator for Worthington Diagnostics, Freehold Township. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church and its Missionary Society, and wasa Sunday school teacher. Surviving are her husband, Henry; two sons, George H. Egerton, Lakewood, and Eddie Jeffrey Egerton, at home; three daughters, Mrs.

MYATT CAMARILLO, Calif. Mrs. Anna J. Myatt, a former resident of Fair Haven, N.J., died Wednesday at Pleasant Valley Hospital, here. She was 76.

She was born in Red Bank, N.J., and lived in Fair Haven for many years before moving here 25 years ago. Mrs. Myatt was a member of Chapter 322, Order of the Eastern Star, Oxnard, the White Shrine, Ventura, and El Rio First Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, Loyal W. Myatt; two sons, Loyal W.

HELEN CHURCH FROST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP Mrs. Helen Church Frost, 79, died Wednesday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. She was born in Hundred, W.Va., and lived in California and in Ohio before moving here four years ago. Mrs. Frost was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Wyoming, Ohio.

ALFRED W. MITCHELL NEPTUNE Alfred W. Mitchell, a retired engineer, died Thursday at Jersey Shore I Center. He was 75. He was born in Lakewood and was a lifelong resident of the Shore area.

Mr. Mitchell retired in 1972 after 30 years as a liaison engineer with the post engineers at Fort Monmouth. He was a former member of the Bradley Beach Education. Mr. was past master and treasPorchael' urer of Asbury Lodge 142, and a member of the Scottish, Rite Valley of Trenton and the Crescent Shrine Temple, Trenton.

He was a member of the board of Trustees of the West Grove United Methodist Church and a member of Bradley Fire Co. 3, Bradley Beach, the Senior Citizens of Neptune and National Association of Retired Federal Employees. ANDERSON HARDING TOWNSHIP Herbert A. Anderson, a former resident of Port Monmouth, Middletown Township, died Monday at Riverview Hospital, Red Bank. He was 81. He was born in 1 Morristown and I lived in Summit and Port Monmouth before moving here 40 years ago. Mr.

Anderson was a member and former chief the fire department here. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Madison, and the Green Village United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Julia; a son, Herbert, Hanover Township; a daughter, Helen Rahnke, Tinton Falls; a sister, Wilhelmina Seaquist, New Providence, five grandsons and two great-granddaughters. STIEFEL MANASQUAN Herbert F. Stiefel, a retired policeman, died yesterday at Point Pleasant Hospital. He was 78. He was born in East Orange and moved here in 1952. Mr.

Stiefel retired in 1952 after 30 years with the East Orange Police Department. He was a member of the Policeman's Benevolent Association, East Orange. Foley, the second woman in New Jersey to achieve the post of president of a savings and loan association, died Thursday at Freehold Area Hospital, Freehold Township. She was 84 and lived on Berkeley Place. She was a lifelong resident here. In 1961, Mrs. Foley was elected president of the Freehold 1 Savings and Loan Association.

She went to work for Freehold Savings and Loan as a clerk in 1914, the Monday after her graduation from Freehold High School. At the time, her fa- ther, the late Edgar I. MRS. FOLEY VanDerveer, was secretary the association, which was founded in 1853 and is the oldest in the Mrs. Foley became assistant secretary in 1928 and executive vice president, secretary and managing officer in 1954.

From 1914 to 1954 she also worked in the insurance business with her father and her mother, the late Alvah E. VanDerveer. Mrs. Foley was a member of the Board of Trustees of Freehold Area Hospital a and co- chairman of its Thrift Shop. She was a charter member of the hospital's auxiliaries here and in Freehold Township.

She was a former treasurer of the state Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club, and a charter member of the Soroptimists Club and past member and secretary of the Cecilian Club, both here. Her husband, Walter F. Foley, died in 1970. Surviving is a daughter, Mary E. "Betty" Beach, here.

MABEL E. WEBB FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP Mrs. Mabel E. Webb, a retired hospital admitting officer, died Thursday at Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Edison Township. She was 70 and lived on East Manchester Court.

She was born in Seattle and lived in Matawan before moving here two years ago. Mrs. Webb retired in 1977 after 12 years as chief admitting officer at Kennedy Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Edwin, died in 1963. Surviving are two sons, Robert and Victor, both Old Bridge Township; a daughter, Claire Liggett, here; a brother, James Ardern, Safety Harbor, and six grandchildren.

The Waitt Funeral Home, Marlboro Township, is in charge of arrangements. HAROLD F. DOODY ASBURY PARK Harold F. Doody, who worked as a trader for a brokerage house, died Thursday at his home. He lived on Ocean Avenue.

He was born in Brooklyn, where he lived until moving here in 1967. Mr. Doody worked as a trader with Hornblower Weeks Noyes Trask New York. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion, Brooklyn. Surviving are his wife, the former Lilyan Adams, and a niece.

He was born in Charleston, W.Va., and lived in New York before moving here six months ago. Mr. Thompson worked for the Modernistic Barber Shop, New York. Surviving are his wife, the former Juanita Oliver; two daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn Carter and Mrs.

HELEN A. HIPP MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP Mrs. Helen A. Hipp, 74, died yesterday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. She lived at Florida Court, Cedar Glen Lakes, Whiting.

She was born in Newark and lived in Union Township before moving here nine years ago. Her husband, Carl died in 1969. Surviving are two brothers, Phillip H. Laubenstein, Woodbridge Township, and Donald J. Laubenstein, Mountainside.

Mrs. Corkery worked for R.J. Goerke Company, Elizabeth, before retiring. She was a communicant of St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, Berkeley Township, and a member of its Rosary Altar Society and Court Sister Marion Theresa, Catholic Daughters of America, Toms River.

Mrs. Corkery was also a member of the Women's Social Club, here, the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Pine Beach Fire Department and the Pine Beach Democratic Club. JOSEPH LEMING SOUTH RIVER Joseph Leming, a retired engineer and former resident of Long Branch, died yesterday at Middlesex General Hospital, New Brunswick. He was 76 and lived on Leonardine Avenue. He was born in Lakewood and lived in Long Branch before moving here 39 years ago. Mr. Leming worked for the Jersey Central Power Light Co.
