A26 Asbury Park PressSunday, September 25, 1988 Obituaries Ocean Nicholas Aldarelli, auto accident victim Deaths Anthony t. bruno, 73. of Point Pleasant Beach, died Friday at Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia. Mr. Bruno worked for the maintenance department of the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach for 30 years, retiring in 1980.

Prior to that, he was a bartender at the old Asbury Park Golf Course. A 1934 graduate of Point Pleasant Beach High School, he played on the school's 1933-34 Central Jersey championship basketball team. Mr. Bruno was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St.

Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant Beach, and a member of its Holy Name Society. Born in Point Pleasant Beach, he was a lifelong resident of the Surviving are his wife, the former Lila Morton; two sons, Anthony and David both of Point Pleasant; two daughters, Sandra J. Lindstrom, Brick Township, and Linda M. Lynch, Point Pleasant; a brother, Natale, Wall Township; two sisters, Josephine Morton, Point Pleasant Beach, and Rose DeSepio, South Plainfield; 12 grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Van Hise Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, is in charge of arrangements.

Edward j. weldon, 81, of Berkeley Township, died yesterday at Brick Hospital, Brick Township. He was a controller for American Trade Publishing Company, New York, retiring in 1973. Born in New York, he lived in Yonkers, N.Y., before moving to Berkeley in 1973. He was predeceased by his first wife, Alicia.

Surviving are his wife, Josephine; a son, Edward J. Honolulu; two daughters, Ann Schaefer, Yonkers, and Mary Semrad, Silver Springs, two sisters, Margaret and Alice Lynch, both of Larchmont N.Y., and five grandchildren. Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of ETHEL A. DONAHUE, 78, of Belmar, died Friday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Trenton, she lived in Vid-dletown Township and Shrewsbir I before moving to Belmar eight year! igo.

Her husband, John dift in 1979. Surviving are a son, John, Clifton; two daughters, Ethel at home, and Eleanor Cranford, Brielle; six brothers, Sam Layton, Trenton, Raymond Lay-ton, Ortley Beach section of Dover Township, and Bill Layton, Charles Layton and George Layton, all of Hamilton Township; a sister, Mildred Scott, Hamilton Township, seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. Randolph Burdge, former ballplayer WALL TOWNSHIP Randolph Burdge, 79, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune.

Mr. Burdge was a service manager for Belmar Motors for 19 years. Prior to that, he was a service manager for Billy Major's Oldsmobile Dealership, Ocean Grove. He also was a champion bowler and baseball player in the Shore area. After graduating from high school in Freehold, he played baseball for three years with the semiprofessional Farmingdale Eagles, joining the team in 1928.

Mr. Burdge also played in the Shore Twilight League with the Neptune Scarlet Raiders, a team that won Shore and Monmouth County championships in 1936, '37 and '38. He was a league batting champion in 1935. In the '40s, he became a top area bowler, setting a then-record in the Point Pleasant Recreation league with a series of 699 and a high game of 269. A Navy veteran of World War II, Mr.

Burdge also was a consulting ro-sarian of the Penn-Jersey District of the American Rose Society. He was a former member of the United Methodist Church, Farming-dale. Born in Farmingdale, he lived there before moving to Wall. Surviving are his wife, the former Leuwella Keppler, two sons, William Neptune, and Randolph Chicago, and three grandchildren. Johnson Funeral Home, Wall Township, is in charge of Monmouth PATSY PERM, 94, of Middletown Township, died Friday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.

Mr. Perry was a machine operator for the Red Bank nothing Manufacturing Company, retiring in 1963. After retirement, he was a crossing guard for the Middletown Township school system for 20 years. He was a communicant of St Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a member of the Guisippi Garibali Society, Red Bank.

Born in Italy, he lived in Red Bank before moving to Middletown. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Longo; a son, Albert J. Little Silver, a daughter, Josephine Trevett, Middletown; a sister, Mary Pingatore, Red Bank, and six grandchildren. John Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. MARY M.

PETTTr, 87, of Rumson, died Thursday at home. Mrs. Pettit was a member of the Rumson Country Club, the Sea Bright Beach Gub and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She graduated from Kid-Key College and Musical Conservatory, Sherman, Texas. Born in Lockney, Texas, she lived in New York before moving to Rumson in 1931.

Surviving are her husband, Arthur two sons, Jeffrey and A. Gerald, both of New York, three sisters, Kitty Webb, Palm Springs, Alma Boyle, Winston-Salem, N.C., and Ros-sy Barker, Floydada, Texas, and two granddaughters. John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. Robert f.

sanwald, 69, of Neptune, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Mr. Sanwald was a mail carrier for the Neptune Post Office for 15 years, retiring in 1968. He was a member of Elks Lodge 128, Asbury Park. Born in Newark, he moved to Neptune 32 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, the former Jane Hagerman; a daughter, Patricia Nesbitt, Norwich, N.Y.; a sister, Dorothy Sutton, Highlands, and a grandson. Francioni, Taylor Lopez Funeral Home, Neptune, is in charge of Marcus R. Butler, was road foreman BERKELEY TOWNSHIP Marcus R. Butler, 66, of the Bayville section of the township, died yesterday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. Mr.

Butler, also known as "Bud," was the road foreman for the Ocean County Road Department for 31 years, retiring in 1987. He was a past chief of Bayville Fire Company No. 1 and a charter member of the Toms River Elks Gub and the Berkeley Township Historical Society. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Bayville. Born in Bayville, he was a lifelong resident of the township.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Swan; two sons, Mark, Essex, and David, Bayville; two sisters, Eleanor, Bayville, and Alice Padulchick, Trenton, and two grandchildren. O'Connell's Home for Funerals, Bayville, is in charge of arrangements. Edith m. neilson, 77, of the Leisure Village West section of Manchester Township, died Friday at home. Mrs.

Neilson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church of Malverne, Long Island, N.Y. Born in the Bayridge section of Brooklyn, New York, she lived most of her life in Brooklyn. She moved to Malverne in 1950 and to Leisure Village West two years ago. Surviving are her husband, Edward a son, Robert Great Falls, two daughters, Nancy E.

Fox, New York, and Katharine E. Neilson, Bolton, and three grandchildren. Aldarelli, 25, died Friday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident Mr.

Aldarelli was a self-employed insurance agent Bom in Neptune, he lived there before moving to Belmar two years ago. Surviving are his father, Ralph, Long Branch; a brother, Christopher Long Branch; his maternal grandmother, Sophie Cristello, North Bergen Township, and his paternal grandmother, Marie, Ocean Township. Buckley Funeral Home, Asbury Park, is in charge of arrangements. Martha a. ulbrich, 70, of the Morgan ville section of Marlboro Township, died Friday at Doctors Hospital Staten Island, New York.

Mrs. Ulbrich was a registered nurse working in the geriatric department of Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital for 11 years, retiring in 1977. She was a member of the Nursing Association of New Jersey, District 4. Mrs. Ulbrich was a communicant of St.

Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Matawan. Born in Reading, she lived in Wilkes-Barre, before moving to Morganville 30 years ago. Surviving are her husband, William a son, William Bay City, her mother, Ann Orloff, Staten Island; three brothers, William Orloff, Doylestown, Robert Orloff, Brooklyn, New York, and R.
