After Harvey reported the find to Coors, the company offered him $1,500 for the can and its contents so they could be analyzed. Harvey refused, demanding $30,000 to $50,000, Coors said. The Associated Press JACKSONVILLE, Fla.

The Adolph Coon Co. and its local distributor yesterday sued a man who claimed to have found a mouse in a 16-ounce can of Coors beer. The lawsuit filed in Duval Circuit Court accuses James Harvey of fraud and deceit product disparagement defamation and attempted theft by deception in connection with his claims. The lawsuit which says tests have shown the mouse did not enter the can at the brewery, also accuses the Jacksonville man of "intentional interference with advantageous business relationships." No specific cash amount is demanded in the suit. "What has happened to Coors should not happen to anyone," said Cary Baird, a Coors spokeswoman at company headquarters in Golden, Colo.

Prior to that he worked for Public Service, Newark, for 12 years. He was a communicant of St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church, Brick, a member of St Dominic's Social Club, and the Old Guard of Greater Point Pleasant. Born in Newark, he lived in Mata-wan Township, moving to Brick in 1975. Surviving are his wife, the former Marie McCann; two daughters, Judith Ann DiLauro, Brick, and Cheryl Ann Lahmann, Marlboro Township, and three grandchildren.

Colonial Funeral Home, Brick, is in charge of arrangements. JAMES RENZO, 32, of Brick Township, died yesterday at Community Memorial Hospital Toms River. Mr. Renzo was a clerk at Food-town, South Amboy, for six years. He was a member of the Church of Epiphany, Brick.

Born in Red Bank, he moved to Brick three years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Karen Ryan; his mother, Mary Renzo, Red Bank, and three brothers, John, Rockaway; Alex, Brick, and Robert, Anaheim, Calif. Mr. Miele was a supervisor for International Telephone and Telegraph Clifton, for 38 years, retiring in 1974. He was a life member of the Quarter Century Club of ITT. Born in Newark, he lived most of his life in Bloomfield, moving to Holiday City 10 years ago. McCormick, alternately chairman and vice chairman of the Delaware River and Bay Authority since 1966, and the last charter member of the authority, died Sunday at home. Mr. McCormick, 81, had been active in the construction of the second span of the Delaware Memorial Bridge and in the creation of the Cape May-Lewes Ferry system. He was chairman of the board of the Farmers and Merchants National Bank, here, and president of Cumberland Mutual Fire Insurance Co. His wife, Dorothy, died in 1986.

Surviving are a son, Clarence here; two daughters, Dorothy M. Woodruff, Cherry Hill Township, and Jeannette M. Berry, Lutherville, and seven grandchildren. Arrangements were private. Frances P.

Cowen, piano, voice teacher WESTBOROUGH, Mass. Frances Perry Cowen, 84, a former resident of Brielle, N.J., died Aug. 27, at the Willows Retirement Community, here. Mrs. Cowen was a piano and voice teacher for more than 40 years as well as a writer of books and music, when retiring.

She was a 1926 graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, and in 1927 studied in Paris. A tour of the United States was followed by a career of operatic, classical and religious singing. Mrs. Cowen was a former musical instructor of the Inlet Musical Club, Brielle. Born in Leominster, she lived in Neptune, N.J., for eight years and Brielle for 37 years, moving here last year.

Surviving are a son, Fred Na-tick; two grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. Mitchell Funeral Home, Natick, was in charge of arrangements. NORMAN CHERRY, 57, of Old Bridge Township, died Thursday at home. Mr. Cherry was a self-employed certified public accountant in Manhattan.

Mr. Emmons owned and operated Emmons Grocery Store, Red Bank, from 1940, retiring in 1966. He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, Lake City, Fla. Born in Red Bank, he moved to Lake City 16 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Hester, a daughter, Lea Evenson, Glencoe, a brother, Burgess Emmons, Sea Bright, and a grandson.

Associated Press JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. A man drove his estranged wife's body to police headquarters early yesterday and demanded that he be arrested, authorities said. Ruhle T. Pollard, 36, was distraught when he arrived at the City-County Building about 4 a.m. and told a sheriffs dispatcher that he wanted to be arrested on an outstanding warrant said Clark County Sheriff Mike Becher.

Dispatcher Harold Goodlet could find no warrant for Pollard and refused to arrest him. Pollard then told Goodlet to shoot him, Becher said.
