Catalogs will be available at the gate or by mail from SPB's New York offices. Other art objects from the Dodge collection will be sold at SPB gallery sales in New York during the 1975-76 season. The quilts, about half from the association's collection and the rest on loan from private owners, were assembled by Mrs.

Alan Duke, an association trustee from Rumson, and Miss Rosemary Troy, from the association's Freehold museum staff. The exhibit, which also includes quilting frames and tin forms used to print quilt patterns, emphasizes the technique used in early days to provide warm bed covers and even quilted garments. A woman's under vest is in the display. Bed quilts include an app-liqued cover made about 1814 by Sarah Throckmorton Allen in the building where it is being exhibited. The tavern at various times was the residence of members of the Allen family.

Also on display is a friendship quilt made by the women of Shrewsbury in 1879 and a quilt made by the ladies of Old Tennent Church for the wife of the pastor, the Rev. A. P. Cobb. Exhibit hours hadn't been determined when this column was written but can be obtained by calling the association museum in Freehold.
