The Associated Press BERKELEY, Calif. Diogenes Angelakos, a pioneer in the field of microwaves, antennas and electromagnetic waves and one of the Unabomber's first victims, died Saturday of prostate cancer. He was 77. Mr. Angelakos, a University of California electrical engineer, was director of the Electronics Research Laboratory at UC-Berkeley on July 2, 1982, when he grabbed the handle of a booby-trapped package in a coffee room.

The pipe bomb exploded, mangling his right hand, although he benefit of electricity and sometimes having to use horses to make deliveries. "My mother had to work like three men to keep the operation going," he said. Mrs. Hansen was a member of the Manahawkin Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was born in Arad, Austria-Hungary, and lived in Philadelphia before moving to Manahawkin in 1926.

Her husband, Julius, died in 1946. Surviving are a son, Otto, Surf City; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, Manahawkin, Stafford Township, is in charge of STAFFORD TOWNSHIP Mary M. Hansen, 100, of Manahawkin, a retired farmer who, with her late husband, Julius, operated a produce store in Surf City for many years, died yesterday at Seacrest Village Nursing Home, Manahaw-kin.

During the- Depression years, the Hansens were the owners and operators of Hope Farm, a 30-acre spread on the site of what is now the Manahawkin Middle School, where they raised the items sold at their store, Hansen's Fruit, Eggs and Poultry. According to her son, Otto, Mrs. Hansen often had to clean 20 or 30 chickens in a single night, doing farm work for a time without the Li Shuxian, 73, widowi of China's last emperor Violet F. BRYAN, 76, of BRICK TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday at the Veterans Administration Hospital, East Orange. He was a warehouseman for Technology, Kearny, for 25 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Kearny, and the Disabled American Veterans. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War, and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Mr.

Bryan was born in Harrison and lived in North Arlington before moving to Brick eight years ago. His son, Richard, died in 1985. Surviving are his wife, Dolores; a son, Stephen Brick; a brother, Jerome, Long Branch; and a sister, Jean Ward-ell, Highlands. Colonial Funeral Home, Brick Township, is in charge of arrangements. She was 73. Li married Aisingyoro Henry Puyi, whose life was depicted in "The Last Emperor," the 1987 Bernardo Bertolucci film that won nine Academy Awards. Mr.

Puyi had just turned 6 when his family, under pressure from Sun Yat-Sen's revolutionaries, ab NELLIE POJNAR, 85, of LITTLE EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford Township. She was a member of St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Tuckerton. Mrs. Pojnar was born in Newark and lived there before moving to Little Egg Harbor in 1967.

Her husband, Stanley, died in 1982. Surviving are three sons, Stanley Little Egg Harbor, Anthony Edison Township, and Robert Keansburg; a daughter, Dolores A. Weis, Wood-bridge Township; a sister, Julia Waltch, Point Pleasant; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. STRANGE, 80, of BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a linotype operator for the Paterson Evening News for 47 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, Berkeley, the Silver Ridge Park Westerly Bocci and Bowling Club, and a former member of the Silver Ridge Park Westerly Men's Club. He was a World War II Army veteran.

Mr. Strange was born in Italy and came to the United States in 1920, living in Glen Rock before moving to Berkeley in 1983. Surviving are his wife, Frances De-Nardo Strange; a son, John Pea-body, three daughters, Rose Ann McCrohan, Belmar, Joyce Ber-rian, Midland Park, and Linda Smith, Toms River; two brothers, Carl, Ort-ley Beach, Dover Township, and Charles, Hasbrouck Heights; three sisters, Theresa Giovanelli, Deerfield Beach, Sylvia Mangini, Lava-llette, and Yolanda Amico, Ortley Beach; and seven grandchildren. Sweetra was born in Brooklyn and lived in Irvington and in Verona before moving to the Shore 21 years ago. DOROTHY W. LINDNER, 90, of LAKEWOOD, died Tuesday at home. She was a mender for a knitting factory in Perth Amboy for 25 years, retiring in 1965. She was a parishioner of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Brick Township, and a member of the Old Guard of Greater Point Pleasant Women's Auxiliary.

Mrs. Lindner was born in Freiburg, Germany, and came to the United States in 1926, living in East Orange, Edison Township and in Point Pleasant before moving to Lakewood five years ago. Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Alfred two sons, John Hof-fer, Riverdale, N.Y., and Alvin Lindner, Benecia, a daughter, Joyce Skico, of New York; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. MCCARTHY, 75, of JACKSON TOWNSHIP, died Tuesday at Kimball Medical Center, Lake-wood. He was a police officer with the New York City Police Department for 25 years, retiring in 1979. After his retirement, he worked as an investigator for the taxation division of the New York State Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms until 1988.
