Carol Ann was employed as an administrative assistant for Deerfield Management in New York City. She loved to crochet, bake, cook and won many blue ribbons at the county fair. She also loved to attend antique shows, travel to Gettysburg, loved animals and was a member of the ASPCA. Carol Ann was predeceased by her parents, Martin and Sonya Jakubczak. She is survived by her husband, Walter Peters; a brother, Martin Jakubczak of Easton, a sisterin-law and brother-in-law, Bob and Eleanor Liland of New Bern, N.C.; two nephews, Martin and David; and three nieces, Tracy, Dana, and Kelly.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Red Bank. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m.

25, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, with his family by his side. Thomas was a land surveyor for 52 years. He started as a young man with Birdsall Engineering and Survey and was of Thomas H. Stuart Professional Land Surveyor, Manasquan for 27 years. Thomas was a member of the N.J.

Society of Professional Land Surveyors. He was also an eight-year veteran of the New Jersey Army National Guard serving from 1955 until 1963. Thomas was a model train enthusiast. He was born in Philadelphia and was raised in Belmar. Thomas along with his wife Martha Steiert Stuart lived in Manasquan since 1963.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 47 years, Martha Stuart; and two sons and a daughter-inlaw, Thomas H. Stuart III of Manasquan, and Steven and his wife Juliana J. Parry D.D.S. of Barrington, Ill. He is also survived by a sister, Carol Maron of Wall; a brother, Neil Stuart of Dexter, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. Friday until the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. She was a hair. dresser for over 20 years, most recently at Profes sional Hair Design atthe Freehold Raceway Mall, where her specialties were weddings and prom hairstyles. She was a graduate of Freehold Township High School and Wilfred Beauty School, Red Bank. She was predeceased by her father, Michael Thornton Sr. She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Thornton of Freehold; her brother, Michael Thornton her aunts, Joan Carew and her husband Bob of South Amboy, Jean Selover and her husband Gary of Mississippi, and Pam Boyce of Toms River; many beloved cousins; and especially her special loved ones, Hannah Wisialko, Holly and Brandy Thompson and many friends and clients.

Carrie's passions were Halloween, garage sales, fishing with Dan, and parties in the back yard. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, with a funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 MARYANN STEWART TOLLE, 87, of OCEAN GROVE, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Manor By the Sea Nursing Home, Ocean Grove.

Born in Neptune, she was a resident of Bordentown until moving to Ocean Grove several years ago. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Daughter of the late Alonzo and Mary Cannon Stewart, mother of the late Theodora Mattonelli, and Richard Tolle and sister to the late Julia Jackson and Lonnie Stewart. Maryann is survived by her son, Loreain "Butch" Tolle of Bordentown; two sisters, Alethea Stewart and Clara DeSouza, both of Ocean Grove; her grandchildren, Veronica Woolverton of Trenton, Richard Mutz of Chester, Raymond Mutz of Evanston, Michael Tolle of Florence, Richard Justin and his wife Kristen Tolle of Columbus, Natalie and Brandon Tolle, both of Bordentown; and her great-granddaughters, Amber, Gabriella, and Savannah Tolle. Surviving are four children, Derryl Heath and her husband Freddie of Wadley, Sharon Rogers and her husband Clarence, Kevin Tyler and his wife Linda of Jacksonville, and Jacqueline Simmons and her husband Donald of Englishtown; two brothers, Jim my Heath of Louisville, and Linzie Heath of Rochester, N.Y.: a sister, Vivian Jones of Rochester, N.Y.; two aunts, Essie Mae Stevens and Mattie Hannah of Wadley, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. BOOTH, 88, of Whit- ing, MANCHESTER, died Sunday, Feb. 24, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Teaneck, she lived in Paramus before moving to Crestwood Village VI, Whiting 23 years ago. She was a member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and a member of its choir.

She was predeceased by her husband, James Booth, in January 2005; and her son, James "Eddie" Booth, in January 1987. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol Ann Halter of Santa Clara, Eleanor and Pat Mooney of Bayville, Berkeley, and Marilyn and Bill Youakim of Oradell; a brother, Frank Schroeder of North Carolina; a sister, Eleanor D'Annolfo of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Elizabeth, Susan, Desmond, Amanda, and Chris; five great-grandchildren, Gillian, Abbygale, Kristin, Meghan, and Emily; and two step-great-grandchildren, Breayahna and Elias. A Memorial Mass will be offered at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Whiting.

Stephen's Episcopal Church, in Helen's name would be greatly appreciated. Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, Whiting, is in charge of arrangements. KAREN ANNE PAOLANTONIO BROWN, 53, of LAKEWOOD, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 27, at N.J. University Hospital, Newark, after a long illness.

Karen was born April 4, 1954 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Montclair. She lived in Upper Montclair before moving to Lakewood with her husband. She was employed by Glen Ridge Savings Bank, Glen Ridge and held positions of teller, head fore retiring in 1999. She was also employed by Super Stop and Shop in Toms River until 2005.

She was the devoted daughter of the late Canio V. Paolantonio and Theresa Hope Paolantonio and dear sister of the late John Paolantonio and her beloved dog Maxie. Karen is survived by her husband, Gregory Whelan Brown; and sisters, Patricia Pasqualicchio of Aurora, Ann Forte and Kristine McKowen of Denville. She is also survived by nephews and nieces, Patrick, Suzanne, James, Amanda, T.J., Steven, and Kaitlyn; and greataunt of Peyton. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m.

Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. EDWARD MATTHEW FARYNYK, 60, of BRICK, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Bayonne, he resided in Jersey City, summering in Brick, permanently moving to Brick in 1999. Mr.

Farynyk was a lawyer in Jersey City, operating a private practice, he had graduated from St. Peter's College and Rutgers Law School. He was a former commander and presently the treasurer of the Sons of the American Legion Post 3 4 8 a member of the Brick V.F.W. Post the Brick Elks 2151, a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, and had sponsored and coached College Little League in Jersey City, Surviving are his wife, Laurene Lisa Farynyk; his daughters, Lisa Farynyk and Randi Farynyk; his sister, Diane Farynyk; a niece, Lianne Farynyk; and his mother-in-law, Ada Lisa. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m.

26, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was formerly of Whiting for 10 years and Jackson for 25 years before moving to Lakewood four years ago. He worked as a self-employed house painter for many years. He was a member of the Jackson Fire Department and attended St. Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lakewood.

He was predeceased by his wife, Jean; and two sons, Theodore and Robert. Surviving are his nephews, Anthony and Michael Prisco. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at D'Elia Funeral Home, Route 70 and Vermont Avenue, Lakewood. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m.

26, at Community Medical Center, Toms River, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Milltown, Mrs. McDonald was a graduate of the New Brunswick High School Class of 1944. She settled in Neptune City to raise her family and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who moved to Berkeley at Holiday City in 1990. Mrs.

McDonald was predeceased by her beloved husband, William A. McDonald in Surviving are her loving children, Laura Corbett and her husband Michael of Ocean Gate, and Bill A. McDonald Jr. and his wife Linda of Little Silver. She is also survived by her six adoring grandchildren, Doug and Meredith Corbett, Meredith and Ed Sinnett, Keri and Michael Oliver, and Christopher, Michael, and Erin McDonald; in addition to her special great- Kailyn Sinnett, and Trace Oliver.

Born in Elizabeth, she lived in Old Bridge for 42 years before moving to Toms River three years ago. Mrs. Merz was a bank teller at Wachovia Bank, Spotswood for 15 years before her retirement. Mrs. Merz is survived by her husband, William A.

Merz; her four sons, William R. and his wife Regina of West Trenton, Robert M. and his wife Dorothy of Old Bridge, James M. and his wife Marcia of East Brunswick, and Michael A. Merz of Toms River; her six grandchildren, William, Sabrina, Danielle, Jason, Christopher, and Michael; and her two great- grandchildren, Braeden and Jayden.

86, JACKSON, died Monday, Feb. 25, at his residence. Born in Paterson, he lived in Metuchen for 35 years before moving to Jackson 16 years ago. Mr. Morrison was a salesman for the Jersey City Tobacco Company, Jersey City for 30 years, retiring in 1982.

He was a proud Army Air Force veteran, serving as a sergeant with the 480th Anti-Aircraft Battalion overseas in World War II. He belonged to several clubs and organizations, the Jewish War Veterans, Disabled American War Veterans, several coin clubs, including the Middlesex County Coin Club, which he was the founder. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Frances, in 2007. Surviving are his two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Jed Kadish of Hamilton Square, and Gail and Lynn Hunsicker of Raleigh, N.C.; his four grandchildren, Allisan and Mara Kadish, Elyse Johnson, and Jason Hunsicker; and his two great-grandchildren, Isabella and Ainsley Johnson. Services will be held at noon today at Brig.

CARMELA "MIMI" PAONE, 96, of JACKSON, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, at Bartley Healthcare. She was born and lived in Newark, then in Edison for many years before moving to Lakewood 24 years ago. Mimi enjoyed cooking and gardening and she loved her animals. Mimi was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Paone.

She is survived by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, greatews and cousins. Services will be private. Arrangements were handled by D'Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood. RUSSELL PEER. 95, of Silver Ridge Park, Westerly, BERKELEY, went home to the Lord on Monday, Feb.

25. He worked for McKesson and Robbins before retiring. He taught for many years as a Sunday school teacher in Clifton and Beach Haven. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Jean. Surviving are a son, Robert Betty of New York: a daughter, Janet and Robert Hulzer of Manchester; a nephew, Harold Peer of Berkeley; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

23, in the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania, of Pulmonary Fibrosis. Phyllis grew up in Morristown and moved to Barnegat with her mother in 2005, where she worked as a procurement consultant for IBM. Phyllis was the beloved daughter of Carmella Sangemino and the late James Sangemino. She is also survived by two brothers, Thomas and James Sangemino; a sister, Anne Marie Hulbert; six nieces; a nephew; and a host of friends and relatives. A memorial service will be held at noon Saturday at St.

Mary's Church, Barnegat. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the service at Carmella Sangemino's residence. FERDINAND "JAY" SCHAEFER, 72, "died Whiting, MANCHESTER, Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Staten Island, he lived in Suffern, N.Y.

and Oakland prior to moving to Whiting in 1998. He was employed as a bus driver with Enterprise Auto, Toms River. He was a captain volunteer fireman in Suffern, N.Y. He was also a union representative for Short Line Bus Mahwah, and a residential representative for Crestwood Village I. He was predeceased by his brother, John Schaefer; and his sister, Ruth Day.

Jay is survived by his wife of 30 years, Florence Filardi Schaefer; a son, Edward "Glenn" Schaefer; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James Sheehan; two brothers, Andrew Schaefer and Eugene Hoffman; three grandchildren, Meaghan, Ryan, and Matthew Sheehan; a special goddaughter, Jan Vargo; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, with a funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at the Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 66 Route 530, Whiting.

ROBERT ANTHONY SCHAUFLER, 71, of BARNE- GAT, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford. He was the owner of Ohio Eastern Express, Sandusky, Ohio for many years.

He is survived by his children, Bonnie, Sue, and Robert; a brother Albert; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. BENJAMIN M. STOUDT, 67, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, at home. Edward was born in New York City, then lived in Elizabeth for 42 years before moving to Whiting six years ago. He was employed as a school bus driver for the STA Bus Company, Lakewood for four years.

Prior, he drove for Newman Pharmaceutical Ridgewood. He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Ocean Citadel Salvation Army Corps, Toms River. He served as a minister in the Rhode Island Salvation Army Corps and played Trombone Euphonium Baritone Horn in the Salvation Army Band. He was a member of the Graduating Class of the Great Hearts, (Salvation Army).

He was predeceased his wife, Edna May Rochat Stoudt. He is survived by two sons, Benjamin J. Stoudt of North Plainfield, and Thomas M. Stoudt of Lancaster, S.C.; a daughter, Patty Stoudt of North Plainfield and three grandchildren. Visiting hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m.

She was a former member of the Leisure Village West First Aid Auxiliary and the Organ-Band Club and the Westernaires Choral Group. She was a volunteer at the Paul Kimball Hospital Thrift shop. She was married to her late husband Gerhard A.

Walther for 60 She is survived by her son, Paul G. Walther, who is a resident of the Mill Creek Group Home in Bayville; and many nieces and nephews throughout New Jersey and North Carolina. He was the of Crystal Pure Water Brick for many years. Surviving are his many friends and a large family, including his grandchildren whom he cherished. He was a retired manager of Pathmark Grocery Store, Eatontown, retiring in 2000. He was a communicant of Our Lady Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. He was a member of the Sigma Tau Chi Fraternity of Trenton State College. Born in Eatontown, he resided in Long Branch before moving to Toms River in 2007. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Pauline Willock Zywan.

Surviving are his wife, Judith Sprague Zywan; a son, John Zywan of Toms River; a daughter, Dannyelle Zywan of Toms River; a brother, Steven Zywan of Long Branch; a sister, Joyce Zywan of North Carolina; and a granddaughter. He was employed as an inside metal salesman with Vincent Brass and Aluminum, Cranford for eight years, retiring in 1970. Prior, he worked with Adam Metal, Elizabeth. He was a member of St. John's Methodist Church, Hazlet. He was also a member of the Cheesequake Village V.F.W.

6761 and Club 60, Matawan. Robert served his country while in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Pilade and Florence Podesta Ciccotti; two sisters, Lila Slimko and Esther Marino; and two brothers, Vincent and Mario Ciccotti. Griffin was a self employed food sales importer, for many years, retiring in 1985. He was also concurrent Presidents of Red Line Commercial Co. and Zaloom Brothers. Jack was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, receiving the title of Irishman of the Year in 2001. Mr.

Griffin is survived by his wife Helene, of 45 years; two daughters, Loretta Pharaon and her husband Basem, and Helaine Williams and her husband Brian; a brother, James Griffin; a sister, Doris Peckel; and two granddaughters, Sophia and Alanna. A committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Brig. Gen. William C.
