WEDNESDAY, APRIL 7, 2004 2 ASBURY PARK PRESS Police Blotter FROM PAGE 6 responded. ROUTE 9: Aaron Johnson, 35, and Jacqueline Jefferson, 28, both of Paterson, were arrested at Barnes Noble bookstore March 29 on charges of obstructing justice, criminal simulation, forgery and passing bad checks. Patrolmen Jason Symons, Thomas Weg and Guy Arancio investigated. NEWPORT DRIVE: Bricks smashed rear windows on two vehicles parked overnight at a residence March 29. Another vehicle was damaged there the day before.

Pa-trolwoman Eileen Dodd took the report. CONCORD DRIVE: A window was broken and the windshield was damaged on a parked vehicle at a residence the night of March 29. Patrolman Jeffrey Mann took the report. OORDONS CORNER ROAD: A car fire in the Yorktowne Shopping Center parking lot was extinguished by Gordons Corner Fire Co. March 28.

Patrolman Charles Mazzatto and Sgt. Timothy Kirkland also responded. AUTUMN DRIVE: Bricks were used to smash windows on a house that was under construction March 30, causing about $150 worth of damage. Other acts of vandalism there within the past month have resulted in about $5,000 in damage. Patrolman Dominick Donatelli investigated.

ROUTE 33: Miguel Virella, 47, of Neptune was charged with driving while intoxicated and eluding police March 30. Patrolman Richard Gallo, who had tried to stop the suspect's vehicle here, made the arrest after it was stopped in Howell. MARLBORO LOTTA BURKE WAY: A soda machine was vandalized the weekend of March 19 to 21. The damage was reported to Patrolwoman Joan Murphy the morning of March 22. WATERFORD AVENUE: A resident's garage was sprayed with red paint the night of March 22.

Patrolman Joshua Stone-sifer took the report. GORDONS CORNER ROAD: Jonathan K. Leasure, 54, of St. James, was charged with driving while intoxicated after being stopped by Patrolwoman Joan Murphy on March 23. disorderly conduct by Patrolman Andrew 0.

Gogan. SUNSET STREET: Wayne Heger 24, of Keansburg was charged on March 26 with possession of heroin and resisting arrest by Patrolman Gary S. Kronen-berger. CARR AVENUE: A 28 year-old Metuchen woman was charged with simple assault by Patrolman Bnan D. Goode.

She was placed into custody on an outstanding warrant. OTHER POLICE BUSINESS: Between March 25 and April 1 police made 5 arrests for outstanding warrants. MANALAPAN LINCOLNSHIRE DRIVE: A window beside the front door was broken to enter a residence and remove jewelry sometime between 7:15 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 27.

Patrolwoman Jennie Barron investigated. HOUSE FIRE: A fire that started near the garage at 4 Stratford Drive about 6:45 a.m. March 27 resulted in only minor damage. The cause of the blaze was not determined, but the Monmouth County fire marshal's office ruled it accidental. Patrolman Kenneth Mikulik also responded.

FAWN RUN: An 18-year-old township man was charged with possessing less than 50 grams of marijuana after Patrolwoman Jean McCafferty stopped his vehicle March 27. Bronx, N.Y., was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card, exhibiting a fake driver's license and theft by deception at the Target Store on March 27. Patrolmen Jason Baratta and Ryan Hurley and Detective Anthony Romano made the arrest. GOLDEN WAY: A rock broke a decorative window above the front door of a residence sometime before 10:30 a.m. March 27.

Damage was about $450. Detective Riaz Motani took the report. SOUTH APPLETREE ROAD: A portable compact disc player and connection kit were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in front of a residence the morning of March 27. Patrolman Jeffrey Mann responded. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: Two mailboxes on Bass Place and one on Yellowstone Lane were vandalized March 27.

Patrolmen William Brooks and Nicholas Bondarew took the reports. ROUTE 33: A Collingswood Auction vendor, Yacine Naing, 31, of Cliffwood, was charged with theft by deception, deceptive business practices, counterfeit marks and criminal simulation in connection with the sale of purses March 27. She was accused of selling a counterfeit Coach bag for $30. Patrolmen Peter Su-kola, Terrence Hurley and Eric Encarna-cion investigated. MADEUNE COURT: Screens were cut on two windows and a sliding glass door at a residence the night of March 28.

Patrolman Peter Aparin investigated. BRIARTWIST LANE: A radio faceplate and compact disc control were reported stolen from a parked vehicle March 28. HOLMDEL COMMONS: After a traffic-violation stop March 22, Patricia K. Unbe-hauen, 24, Keansburg, and her passengers, Melanie Tucker, 19, Middletown and Issac Reid, 23, Newport News, provided false information to police and were charged with hindering apprehension, possession of crack cocaine, which was found in the vehicle. Unbehauen also was charged with driving while suspended.

Patrolman John Allen was the arresting officer. ROUTE 35: Yun Chen, 28, Middletown, and Mei-R. Ren, 54, Middletown, were charged March 23 with shoplifting $239.93 from Kohl's Department Store. Patrolman Michael Hughes was the arresting officer, MIDDLE ROAD: John K. Walker, 37, Hazlet, was charged with driving while intoxicated March 24 by Patrolman Vincent Imperato.

HOWELL ROUTE 9: A lock was cut to enter the meat locker behind Ivy League restaurant and remove about $5,000 worth of meat the night of March 23. Patrolman Mark Troutman investigated. QUAILTREE LANE: A brush fire was reported March 24. Patrolmen Thomas Weg and Stephen Grabowski, Southard Fire Howell Fire Bureau and the N.J. State Forest Fire Service responded.

PREVENTORIUM ROAD: Scrap copper piping valued at $500 was reported stolen from a resident's yard March 26. Patrolman Scott Revilak responded. NANTUCKET COURT: Patrolman Ryan Hurley and Southard Fire Co. responded to a small brush fire in the woods behind a residence around 6:30 p.m. March 26.

ROUTE 9: Danielia McCroskey, 41, of KEANSBURG CENTER AVENUE: William H. England, 23, of Keansburg was charged on March 31 with hindering apprehension by Patrolman John Magner after the investigation of a fight over two stolen DVD's. He was wanted on two active warrants issued by Newark and was wanted by New Jersey Department of Corrections for escape. He was remanded to NJDOC. CARR AVENUE: A 23 year-old Keansburg man was charged on March 31 with possession of marijuana and placed into custody on an outstanding warrant.

MAPLE AVENUE: A 59 year-old Keansburg man was charged on March 27 with See Blotter, Page 8 Patrolman Jason Symons responded. LINDA LANE: A clothes dryer caught fire at a residence about 4:30 p.m. March 29, but nothing else was damaged.
