DARRAR, 84, of TOMS RIVER, died yesterday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. She was a saleswoman for Dublin's Ladies Shop, Elizabeth, for many years before retiring: in 1978.

She lived in Elizabeth for many years and moved to the Cedar Glen section of Toms River in 1978. Surviving are her husband, Adlor, Manchester; two daughters, Beverly Laqualia, Brick, and Joan Langenberger, Clark; two brothers, James and William Rowe, both Cranford; a sister, Marie Aznar, Rahway; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Services are private. Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. CATHERINE GRACE "KITTY" DUMA, 82, of LAKEWOOD, died yesterday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood.

She was a homemaker and worked at the 7-11, Main Street, Manasquan, from 1972 to 1989. She was known as "Mom" to the store's patrons. She was also a communicant and faithful parishioner of St. Denis Roman Catholic Church, Manasquan. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Manasquan from 1946 to 1995, when she moved to Lakewood.

She was predeceased by her husband, Peter in 1995. Surviving are two sons, Peter Islamorada, and Paul, Spring Lake Heights; two daughters, Catherine Creveling, Toms River, and Suzanne Keane, Manasquan; a sister, Edith Quinn, Lincoln Park; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home, 39 South Manasquan.

PHILIP J. FOGLIA, 77, of MAN- CHESTER, died Saturday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was an auto mechanic at Broadway Ignition, Queens, for 32 years before retiring in 1982. He served in World War II in the Army's 852nd Engineers. He was a member of the Leisure Village West Knights of Columbus, Bocci Club, Card Club, Italian-American Club, Bowling League, Briscolli Club and a Deborah chapter.

He was also a member of the St. Johns Roman Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Born in 1 Hoboken, he lived in Brooklyn before moving to Leisure Village West, Manchester, in 1984. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Rose Ann Napolitano; two sons, Anthony, Sussex, and Philip, New Jersey; a daughter, Dr. Elvera Ann Downs, New London, N.H.; a brother, Andrew East Brunswick; and five grandchildren, Alicia, Anthony, Bethany, Felicia and Philip J.

and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. ASBURY PARK PRESS PAGE A11 Anna M. McNeill, 102, Monmouth poet laureate By HARRIET RYAN STAFF WRITER ANNA M. MC NEILL, 102, of HIGHLANDS, the poet laureate of Monmouth County, died Saturday at King James Care Center in the Navesink section of Middletown.

She was a retired teacher who took up poetry at age 96 as a way to celebrate the things she loved, such as her hometown, nature and religion. She also used poetry to cope with the difficulties of aging. One poem about a nurse struggling to find a vein in McNeill's arm hung in Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She wrote 100 poems before her 100th birthday, and was named poet laureate by the Monmouth County Freeholders in 1995. She was often asked to compose poems for people to give as birthday presents.

She was an avid reader who voraciously consumed mysteries. For 55 years, McNeill taught in the Carteret, Atlantic Highlands, Newark, Rahway and Highlands school systems and also at the school at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Highlands. She was a communicant at Our Lady of Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Homes, 3010 Ridgeway Road, Lakehurst.

16 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. She was the wife and business partner of the well-known and highly respected businessman and real estate developer, Roy C. Hiering. Together they owned and managed the popular Surf Club in Ortley Beach, Dover Township, during the 1940s and 1950s, then went on to develop area beach cottages, motels and condominium projects.

She was bestknown for the seven-mile morning bicycle rides she took along the ocean into her early 80s. She was an avid golfer and yachting enthusiast and a longtime member of the Toms River golf and yacht clubs. She was a volunteer for Deborah Heart and Lung Center. She also was a member of St. Bonaventure Church, Lavallette.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roy in 1975. Surviving are three brothers, Eugene, Orlanda, Alfred, Whippany, and Edward, Syracuse, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under direction of the Par-Troy Funeral Home, 95 Parsippany Road, Parsippany. JOSEPH B. JELINSKIE, 80, of LAKEWOOD, died Saturday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood.

He was employed as an engineer for Tenneco Chemical Company, Princeton, for 27 years, retiring in 1983. He was an Army veteran of World War II and an avid golfer. Born in Shamokin, he lived in Bloomfield before moving to Lakewood in 1996. Surviving are his wife, Clara "Sweet" Jelinskie; a daughter, Carol Ann Brady, West Orange; a brother, John, Philadelphia; a sister, Mary Koble, Levittown, and three grandchildren, Kathleen DeFranceschi, Sharon Huetz and Stephanie Brady. She was the owner of the Laundry Express, Spring Lake Heights, for four years. Born in Newark, she lived in Brielle for 14 years before moving to Toms River three years ago. Surviving are a son, Keith Brielle; a daughter, Lori Toms River; a sister, Donna M. Dickscheid, Hillsborough; and two grandchildren, Brittany and Ashley Flach. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m.

Monday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the O'Brien Funeral Home, Route 35 and Bedford Road, Wall. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

THOMAS J. LEONARD, 76, of Whiting, MANCHESTER, died Sat- urday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was employed as a purchasing agent for Equitable Life in New York for 35 years before retiring in 1982. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, Highlands. She was a graduate of Trenton State College and Rutgers University, receiving a bachelor's of science degree in 1937. She served on the New Jersey State Board of Education and taught shop, sewing, grades one through 12, mechanical drawing and special education. She was the oldest member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. Born in Highlands, she was a lifelong resident.

She was predeceased by her husband, Albert in 1959. Surviving are four cousins, Catherine Healy and Mary Agnes Healy, both of Highlands, Margaret Jordan, Middletown, and Dr. Edward McDonough, Punta Gorda, Fla. Relatives and friends are invited to call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.

DOMINICK T. MORANO, 81, of the Holiday City South section of BERKELEY, died Saturday at Community Medical Center, Toms River. He was a quality-control inspector at Walter Kiddie Belleville, where he worked for more than 25 years before retiring in 1984. He served in the United States Army, tank division, during World War II. He was a member of the St.

Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church, Berkeley, the V.F.W. Post 10185, Berkeley, The American Legion: George P. Vandeerveer Post, Toms River, and the Holiday City South Men's Club. He was a former member of the Italian American Club of Nutley. Born in Little Falls, he lived in Nutley before moving to Berkeley in 1985.

Born in Newark, he lived there for 20 years before moving to Lavallette. Surviving are his wife, Bea Carbone; two sons, Daniel Plantation, and Joseph Middletown; two brothers Louis, Bloomfield, and Angelo, Toms River; and four grandchildren, Dave, Jo-Ann, Daniel and Joseph III. Born in Yonkers, N.Y., she lived there most of her life before moving to Whiting in 1982, and then to Georgia in 1986. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph, in 1995. THERESA ROLLANO, 72, of POINT PLEASANT, died Saturday at home. She was a vice president at the former Ocean National, before retiring seven years ago. She was a member of St. Martha's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant. She was born in West New York and moved to Point Pleasant in 1953.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred in 1991. Surviving are a son James, Point Pleasant; a sister, Antoinette Baldino, Point Pleasant; and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the PableEvertz Funeral Home, 901 Beaver Dam Road, Point Pleasant.

Surviving are two sons, Dr. Wolf, Phoenix, and Irving, Monsey, N.Y.; a daughter, Itte Kantor, Lakewood; a sister, Helen Berkowitz, Flushing, N.Y.; twelve grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
