She was a homemaker. She was a member of Brick Seniors, Golden Key Club, Golden Age Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, and American Association of Retired Persons, all Brick. She was a life member of Deborah Hospital Association. Mrs. Kepsel was born in Indiana, and lived in Brick since 1969.

Her husband, Judge Julius A. Kepsel, died in 1966. Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, Brick, is in charge of arrangements. JOAN STANDEVEN KOWALESKI, 70, of Loveladies, LONG BEACH TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at home. She and her husband owned and operated Krowe's Nest Clothing Store, Harvey Cedars, for many years before retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Brant Beach, and was a member of the Southern Ocean County Hospital Womens Auxiliary. She was born in Philadelphia and was a summer resident of Loveladies before moving there in 1968. Her husband, Edwin died in 1996. Surviving are two sisters, Mary S.

Eavenson, Reading, and Marjo-rie S. Marx, Occoquan, Va. Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, Barnegat Township, is in charge of arrangements. JOHN F. LOONAN, 78, of Cedar Glen Lakes, Whiting, MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Keswick Pines Health Care, Whiting.

He was a postal worker at the Manhattan Post Office, New York, for 30 years, retiring several years ago. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church, Whiting, and an Army veteran of World War II. Mr. Loonan was born in the Bronx and lived there most of his life until moving to Whiting in 1974.

Surviving is a niece, Margaret Jan-sen, Beaverton, Ore. Anderson and Campbell. Funeral Home, Whiting, is in charge of arrangements. JAMES J. NEWSOME, 76, of BRICK TOWNSHIP, died Friday at Brick Hospital.

He was a plumber and steamfitter for Overbrook Hospital, Summit, for 22 years, retiring in 1979. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8867, Brick, and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of Visitation Roman Catholic Church, Brick. He was born in Newark and lived in Belleville before moving to Brick in 1979. Surviving is his wife, Yolanda Sol-litto Newsome.

He was a member of the Allenwood Protestant Church, Wall Township, the United States Trotters Association, and the standardbred Breeders and Owners Association. He was a descendant of Jhe Allen family who settled in the Allenwood section of Wall. Mr. Allen was born in Allenwood and lived there before moving to Brick 50 years ago. Surviving are a son, Dale Herbert Allen, Brick; two daughters, Kim Arnos, Brick, and Karen Ballare, Oklahoma; a stepsister, Lenora Tatum, Allenwood; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Mrs. Deede was born in Hoboken and lived there and in Jersey City, and Pompton Lakes before moving to Brick 12 years ago. Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Paduano, Brick; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. DICKENSON, 75, of Holiday City Berkeley, BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, died Thursday in Toms River. She was a legal secretary for Peter Van Norde, Wayne, for 15 years, retiring in 1971. She was a member of the Republican Club, the Holiday City Berkeley Holly Twig Club, and the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Dickenson was born in Harrisburg, and lived in Wayne for 20 years before moving to Berkeley Township in 1971.

Her husband, Richard Dickenson died in 1983. Surviving are a son, Richard Morristovn; a daughter, Diane Shumaker, Dover Township; and two grandchildren. Quinn-Hop-ping Funeral Home, Berkeley Township, is in of arrangements. ANNA GLAGANO, 61, of LAKE-WOOD, died Thursday at Centra-State Medical Center. She was a communicant of St.

Mary of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lakewood. Ms. Galgano was born in Brooklyn and lived in Brick Township before moving to Lakewood 10 years ago. WALTER R. HANCOCK, 80, of Crestwood Village, Whiting, MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, died Thursday at the Burnt Tavern Convalescent Center, Brick Township. He was a principal in the Hamilton Township School District for 30 years, retiring in 1976. He received his bachelor's degree in music from Trenton State Teachers College and his master's degree in music from Rutgers University. He studied the violin with the Trenton State Symphony Orchestra and taught music.

He was an Army Air Corps captain in England during World War II. Mr. Hancock was born in Trenton and lived there most of his life before moving to Whiting in 1979. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Eileen Gilbert Hancock; a son, Gilbert, Trenton; three daughters, Den-ise Kunesh, Stillwater, Beth Jablonski, Toms River, and Eileen Brown, Harvey Cedars; and nine grandchildren. DOVER TOWNSHIP Steven J. Muoio, 29, died Friday of injuries sustained when he was struck by a car while riding a bi cycle in North Brunswick Township. Mr. Muoio was a page designer at The Home News Tribune and the Asbury Park I Press, where he II i m- past eight years. He played for the Toms River for the Millville Shoe Corp.

before retiring in 1980. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and graduated as an airplane mechanic from the School of Civil Aeronautics in 1945. Surviving are a son, Victor, Harrison, N.Y.; two daughters, Joanne Cowen and Esther Dioguardi, both Avon; and his companion, Jessie Sell-itto, Woodbridge Township. MEADE TALBOT, 79, BRICK TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Brick Hospital. She was a saleswoman at the Kmart, Brick, for eight years before retiring last year. She was a member of the Laurelton Baptist Church, Brick, and the Brick Township chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons 2577. She was born in Bayonne before moving to Brick in 1952. Her husband, Robert D.

TEKULA, 79, of MAN-CHESTER TOWNSHIP, died Friday at home. She owned and operated Toby's Inn, Toms River, for 17 years, retiring in 1974. Prior to that she was a supervisor at Bristol-Myers, Hillside, for 15 years. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Toms River.

Ms. Tekula was born in Hillside and lived in Holiday City at Berkeley, Berkeley Township, for 14 years, before moving to Manchester a year ago. Surviving are a nephew, Richard JJ. Havanki, Manchester Township, and a niece, Jo Ann Kraemer, Toms River. Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements.

MARY STUTSKY VASQUEZ, 86, of JACKSON TOWNSHIP, died yesterday at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford Township. She was a seamstress for the Garment Workers Local 501, New York, for many years. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson. Mrs.

Vazquez was born in Mahoney City, and lived in New York before moving to Jackson in 1979. Her husband, Emilio Vazquez, died in 1984, and her son, Emil, died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Robert Jackson; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson, is in charge of arrangements.

CARL J. VOLPE, 48, of ISLAND HEIGHTS, died yesterday at University Hospital of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was a utility lineman for General Motors Linden, for 21 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 129, Toms River, and the United Auto Workers Union Local 595, Linden. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Mr. Volpe was born in Newark and lived there and in Beachwood before moving to Island Heights 'several months ago. Surviving are his wife, Lucille Pas-tore Volpe; two sons, Carl Toms River, and Gerard a daughter, Nicole M. Volpe, all at home; a brother, Ronald, South River; and two sisters, Barbara Lemongello, Newark, and Michele Baez, South River. BLANCHE VOORHEES, 86, of TOMS RIVER, died Friday at Community Medical Center. Mrs. Voorhees was born in Newark and lived in Berkeley Township before moving to Toms River four years ago. Her husband, John died in 1978. Surviving are a son, John Grange-ville, Idaho; a daughter, Marian E.

Kadlac, Toms River; a sister, Stella Dlugolenski, Brazil; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, Toms River, is in charge of EARL P. WOOLLEY, 77, LAKE- W'OOD, died Friday at home. He was a shipping supervisor for E.I. DuPont, Sayreville, for more than 40 years, retiring 18 years ago.

He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 176. Mr. was a life member of the Morganville Independent Fire Marlboro Township. He was born in Morganville and lived in Matawan before moving to Lakewood 25 years ago. Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Dunbar Woolley, and a sister, Arlene Engebretson, Raleigh, N.C.

Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home, Point Pleasant Beach, is in charge of arrangements. SOPHIE W. BRODA, 80, of FAR- MINGDALE, died Friday at home. She was a secretary at Griffiss Air Force Base, Rome, N.Y., for more than 30 years, retiring in 1979. Mrs.

Broda was born in Batavia, N.Y., and lived in Rome before moving to Far-mingdale in 1979. Her husband, Frank J. Broda, died in 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Frances Penzimer, Farmingdale, and a granddaughter. C.H.T.

Clayton Son Funeral Home, Howell Township, is in charge of arrangements. ALFRED COLE, 58, BELMAR, died Thursday at home. He was a former custodian. Born in Carthage, N.C, he moved to Belmar 30 years ago. Surviving are a son, Dana Riley, Asbury Park; a brother, Kenneth Gilchrist, West Paterson; three sisters, Betty La-timore, Millen, Dorothy Brooks, Long Branch, and Alice Gilchrist, Asbury Park.

Dwight Funeral Home, Millen, is in charge of arrangements. FRANCIS HEARNE, 61, ABER- DEEN TOWNSHIP, died Friday at home. He was a consultant for the U.S. Information Agency, New York, until last year. He was a foreign services officer with the State Department for 30 years before retiring in 1991.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 23, Keyport, and the American Foreign Service Association. He was also an umpire for the state Inter-Scholastic American Softball Association and a member of the National Association of Umpires. He was born in Staten Island and lived in Africa, Asia and Europe before moving to Aberdeen six years ago. Surviving are his wife, Judith Mur-nane Hearne; two sons, Timothy and Steven; a daughter, Nancy, all Aberdeen; and a sister, Rita Paolini. MARION HERTEL, 83, of FREE- HOLD TOWNSHIP died Saturday at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Mrs. Hertel was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold Township, and, a former communicant of St. Pancras Church, Glendale, Queens.

She was a member of the Manalapan Township Senior Center and the Young At Heart Adult Day Care Center, Jackson Township. She was born in Brooklyn and lived in Glendale before moving to Freehold Township D2 years ago. Her husband Edward J. Hertel died in 1989. Surviving are two daughters, Miriam Ligowski, Freehold Township, and Karen Kuncken, Woodbridge Township; a sister, Nan Kahres, Atlanta; four grandsons and four great grandchildren.

Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of Whiting, and Albert Stafford Township; a sister, Rose Gamba, Belmar; and two grandsons. Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. MILLIE MORRISEY DALY, 85, of LAKEWOOD, died Jan. 25 in Vero Beach, Fla. She was the former owner of the Highlighter, Vero Beach.

She was a member of the Kles Club and the Italian American CLub, both Vero Beach. She was a communicant of St. Mary's of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lakewood. Mrs. Daly was born in New York and had lived in Vero Beach for 27 years before moving to New Jersey in 1992.

Surviving are a daughter, Lynda McGlynn, Howell Township; a son, William P. Morrisey, Artesia, N.M.; and four grandchildren. Cox-Gifford Funeral Home, Vero Beach, was in charge of arrangements. GERTRUDE DANIELS, 87, of Leisure Village, LAKEWOOD, died yesterday at Pineland Nursing Home, Lakewood. Mrs.
