A story in The Asbury Park Press yesterday incorrectly listed Berkeley among several people whose votes Superior Court Judge James P. Courtney found tainted the election results in which Republican Donald F. Fream apparently defeated Democrat Thomas Mallon by two votes.

Berkeley lived in neighboring Point Pleasant Beach when he voted. Although Courtney overturned the election because of other irregularities, he said Berkeley's vote was proper because he contributed toward the rent of a home in Point Pleasant, kept some of his belongings there, had his mail sent there and claimed the home as his legal address.
