He was a construction worker with the Peter J. Saker Construction Howell, for six years, before becoming disabled in 1986. Born in Pennsylvania, he lived in Lakewood and Freehold before moving to Howell six years ago. Surviving are his wife, Penny; a daughter, Melissa Sue, at home; his mother and father, Harriet and James R. Bedeaux Brockway, five brothers, Arlen, Dallas, James R.

Alabama, Gary Brockway, Phillip D. and Jan both Freehold Town- 83, of Somerset, formerly of Marlboro Township, died Monday at Mar tha Washington Hospital, Charlottesville, Va. Mrs. Chester was a retired horse and dog breeder in Monmouth County. Previously, she was a physical education helping teacher for 10 years in the Cape May school system.

She was a member of Union Grove Christian Church, Virginia. Born in Perth Amboy, she lived in Marlboro for 36 years, moving to Virginia in 1982. Her husband, Paul Edmund, died in 1967. Surviving are a son, John, West Chester, a daughter, Sarah Solek, Charlottesville; a brother, Walter A. Gardell, Elizabeth; a sister, Helen Richards, Augusta, and four grandchildren.

Reilly Delia Vecchia Funeral Home West Creek, is in charge of arrangements. HAIGHT H. WEST, 63, of Felton, formerly of Red Bank, died Monday at Kent General Hospital, Dover, Del. He was a Navy officer, retiring in 1968 as a lieutenant commander. He served in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam wars.

Following his retirement, he was was an engineer at Fort Monmouth, retiring in 1979. Born in West Long Branch, he lived in Red Bank before moving to Felton four years ago. Surviving are his wife, the former Molly Holland; two sons, James Boston, and Steven Norway, Maine; a daughter, Lynn A. West-Alford, Dover, and two grandsons. Robert A.

Monmouth Fredrick w. flury, 93, of Keansburg, died yesterday at River-view Medical Center, Red Bank. He was a retired foreman for Hansen York, New York, where he was employed for 24'i years. Born in Union City, he lived there until 1949, when he moved to Keans-burg. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Margaret Paul; a sister, Emma Kilventon, Jacksonville, and two nieces and two nephews.

Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals, Keansburg, is in charge of arrangements. ANTHONY SICILIANO, 71, of Ea tontown, died Sunday at home. He was a machinist for Robert Lewis Clothing Manufacturers, West Long Branch, for 18 years, retiring in 1982. Mr.

Siciliano was a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Union, Red Bank. Born in Red Bank, he was a lifelong resident of Eatontown. Surviving are two daughters, Car- mela Tomasini, Santa Clara, and Two inmates executed in Texas, Mississippi The Associated Press A MAN WHO killed a convenience store clerk during a robbery was executed today in Mississippi's gas chamber, while the convicted murderer of a 70-year-old woman received a lethal injection in Texas. The executions, the 82nd and 83rd in the nation since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated the death penalty in 1976, came a little more than a day after Virginia electrocuted a man who murdered a neighbor.

In Texas, a poisonous solution was injected into John R. Thompson, a 32-year-old former laborer, and he died at 12:20 a.m. at Walls Unit of the Texas Department of Corrections in Huntsville, said Attorney General Jim Mattox. Connie Ray Evans, 27, was pronounced dead at 12:22 a.m., 17 minutes after officials at the Mississippi State Prison at Parchman began the release of gas into the chamber, said lis Pierce, teacher, pianist FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP Phyllis Pierce, 64, a teacher and church pianist, died yesterday at home. She was a permanent substitute schoolteacher in the township school system for 14 years, retiring in 1970.

Mrs. Pierce was a member of and church pianist at First Assembly of God Church of Freehold. She was also past president of the Women's Ministries for the church. Born in Bay-onne, she lived in Peckville, and MRS. PIERCE Pennsville before moving here in 1950.

Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Walter pastor of First Assembly of God Church; a son, Walter Point Pleasant; a daughter, Karen A. Harvey, Brick Township; her father, Delmar Reedy, Scotch Plains; a brother, Delmar Reedy, Danville, Calif; a sister, Vivian L. Kroll, Scotch Plains; and seven granddaughters. C.H.T.

She was a communicant of St. Mi chael's Roman Catholic Church, Long Branch. Born in Jersey City, she lived in Union City before moving to Long Branch seven years ago.

Surviving are two sons, Joseph DeMarinis, Long Branch, and Gus De-Marinis, Middletown Township; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was a member of Long Branch Woman's Club. Born in Freehold, she was a lifelong resident of the Mon- mouth County area. Her husband, John, died in 1967. JAMES T. MURPHY, 57, of Neptune, died yesterday at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was an advertising executive for Compton Advertising Agency, New York, for 25 years, retiring in 1986. Mr. Murphy was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Asbury Park.

He was a past chairman of the board of 4As, New York, and an Army veteran, serving from 1951 until 1954. Surviving are his wife, the former OLAND Harold J. of Middletown. Formerly of Elizabeth. Beloved husband of Mary Keane Oland.

A Navy veteran of World War II, he was born in Hoboken, and moved to Point Pleasant seven years ago. Born in Shenandoah, he lived in Staten Island before moving to Toms River 19 years ago. WILLIAM KING, 87, of Lakehurst, died yesterday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was a carpenter for Overbrook Hospital, Essex County, for 37 years, retiring in 1968. Mr. King was a member of Lakehurst United Methodist Church. 1 He was a British Army veteran of World War I.

'Born in England, he moved to Belleville in 1920, living there before moving to Lakehurst in 1968. Surviving are his wife, the former Louise McKnight; two sons, W. Alan, Sussex, and Kenneth Edison Township; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ELSA ROUHIAINEN, 66, of Berkeley Township, died Monday at Community Memorial Hospital, Toms River. Born in Finland, she came to the United States in 1950, living in New York before moving to Berkeley 10 months ago.

Surviving is her husband, Helge. Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River, is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy huckin, 65, of Bame- gat Light, died June 27 at Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division. Mrs. Huckin was a member of Long Beach Island Woman's Club, and a former member of the Barnegat Light First Aid Squad.

She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Barnegat Light. Born in Philadelphia, she lived there before moving to Barnegat Light in 1968. Her husband, Charles, died several years ago. Surviving are a stepson, Charles, Norristown, and a stepdaughter, Dorothy, Philadelphia. Out Of Area FRANK SARNECKY, 81, a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy, whose son lives in Lacey Township, died Monday at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy.

Mr. Sarnecky, a laborer, was employed for 34 years at U.S. Metals Carteret, retiring in 1968. He was a communicant of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1360, both Perth Amboy.

His wife, the former Martha Ka-czmarek, died in 1981. Surviving are a son, Frank Lanoka Harbor, Lacey; three daughters, Florence McDermott, Sayreville, De-lores Nelson, Woodbridge Township, and Geraldine Lewis, Perth Amboy; two sisters, Margaret Siecinski and Vilma Giba, both Perth Amboy; and six grandchildren. Muska Funeral Chapel, Perth Amboy, is in charge of arrangements. MARY BIELENDA, 88, of Westminster, formerly of Manchester Township, died Sunday in Massachusetts. Born in Scotland, she lived in New York and Cedar Glen West section of Manchester before moving to Massachusetts a few years ago.

Her husband, Joseph died in 1983. Surviving is a stepdaughter, Eileen Mclntyre, Westminster, Mass. She was a volunteer for 16 years with the American Red Cross in Staten Island; a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Rebecca Chapter 214, Staten Island; and was active with the Salvation Army in Asbury Park for the last 10 years. Born in New York, she lived Staten Island and Ocean Grove, moving to North Plainfield 2'2 years ago.

tatham, of Rutherford, whose brother lives in Lacey Township, died yesterday at Hack-ensack Medical Center. He was a contract specialist at Fort Monmouth. Mr. Tatham, an Army veteran-of the Korean War, was a member of the American Legion and Veterans Of Foreign Wars posts in Rutherford. He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford and received a masters degree from New York University.

Born in Brooklyn, he had lived in Rutherford for 45 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Joanne Marakovitz; a daughter, Donna Anne Young, Rutherford; a brother, Richard Lacey Township; and: a grandson. Thomas J. The U.S. Supreme Court late yesterday refused stay the death sentences of both men and governors of both states refused to grant last-minute stays. Earlier Tuesday, the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles voted against recommending a reprieve for Thompson, who was convicted of murder 'in the shooting death of Mary Kneupper, 70, of San Antonio during a 1977 robbery. Thompson, who has said the shooting was accidental, would be the 25th Texas inmate executed more than any other state since Texas resumed the death penalty in 1982. He faced execution before dawn Wednesday.

C. RUSSELL FOULKS, 80, of Ea-tontown, died Monday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He was a foreman in the paint shop at Fort Monmouth for 28 years, retiring in 1969. Mr. Foulks was an Air Corps veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.

He was a past commander of American Legion Post 325, Eaton-town. He was a past master of Washington Masonic Lodge 9, Eatontown; 32nd degree mason and a member of Scottish Rite, Valley of Trenton; and Fire Department. Born in Long Branch, he lived in Eatontown for more than 60 years. His wife, Edna, died in 1982. Surviving is a sister, Dorothy Masker, Clearwater, Fla.

Robert A. Braun Home for Funerals, Eatontown, is in charge of arrangements. Samuel rosengold, 77, of Neptune, died Monday at Beth Israel Hospital, Newark. Mr. Rosengold was a retired service station owner.

Born in Paterson, he lived in New- ark, Irvington, and in Bradley Beach for 22 years, moving to Neptune two years ago. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Old Brick Reformed Church, Marlboro. She was a member of Molly Pitcher Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Freehold, and was a former member of the Freehold Woman's Club. Born in Marlboro Township, she lived in Freehold before moving to Middletown four years ago. Her husband, John O.

died in 1972. Surviving are two sons, John O. Freehold Township, and Oscar Colts Neck Township; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, is in charge of arrangements. Amelia nance harvey, of Manasquan, died yesterday at Point Pleasant Hospital.

She was a member of Kingdom Hall, Jehovah's Witnesses, Bradley Beach. Born in North Carolina, she lived in Freehold Township, before moving to Manasquan 40 years ago. Surviving are her husband, Alexander; a son, Cleo Stevenson, Brielle; a sister, Patricia Jenkin, Brielle; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Robert C. Frances sliwa, 93, of ocean Township, died yesterday at Heritage Hall, Tinton Falls. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Deal. Mrs. Sliwa was a member of the Polish-American Club, Brooklyn.

Born in Poland, she lived in New York before moving to the Shore area 40 years ago. Her husband, Stanley J. died in 1965. Surviving are a son, Stanley J. Ocean; two daughters, Sophie Anthony, Brick Township, and Frances Popick, East Amwell Township; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Francioni, Taylor, and Lopez Funeral Home, Asbury Park, is in charge of arrangements. Sungwal colatat, 42, of Red Bank, died Friday of injuries suffered in an accident on the Garden State Parkway in Middletown Township. Known as "Sam," Mr. Colatat was a self-employed automobile mechanic. Born in Thailand, he lived in the Red Bank area for 12 years.

Surviving are his wife, the former Veronica E. Register; four children, Mayulee, Phech, Phaul, and Myan, all Red Bank; his mother, six brothers; and two sisters, all of Thailand. Cofer Memorial Home, Red Bank, is in charge of arrangements. MARIE C. SVENSON, 74, of Atlantic Highlands, died yesterday at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.

Born in Irvington, she lived in Newark before moving to Atlantic Highlands seven years ago.
