HUFF 39, of asbury PARK, died Wednesday at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. He was a Cancer Society would be appreciated. The Pable-Evertz Funeral Home, Point Pleasant, is in charge of arrangements. HAROLD A. BRUCE, 70, of lake- WOOD, died Wednesday at Temple University Hospital Philadelphia.

He retired in 1983 after two years as a systems analyst for Seiko New York. Prior to that, he was em-ploysed as a system analyst for the Rockefeller Family, RCA Building, New York, from 1976 until 1981. He was a member of the Laurelton Baptist Church, Brick, where he established and updated the sound system for the church. He also was very influential in tape ministry sending Christian tapes throughout the world with the Oakly Kimble Tape Ministry, Plainfield. Born in Whitesville, he lived in Lakewood all of his life.

Surviving are his wife, Alice Arce Bruce; two sons, Christopher at home, and Jeffrey Colorado Springs, a daughter, Allison J. Ayres, Colorado Springs, and two granddaughters, Jessica and Corey Ayes. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Aug. 7 at the Laurelton Park Baptist Church, Brick.

Layton's Home For Funerals, Forked River, is in charge of arrangements. H. CHRIS CHRISTENSEN, 79, of TOMS RIVER, died Friday at Holiday Care Center, Toms River. He was employed with Resistoflex, Roseland, for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He was a staff sergeant in the Army during World War II, serving in Africa and Europe where he received the Purple Heart.

He also was an avid fisherman, summering in Cape Cod. Born in Denmark, he lived in West Orange for most of his life before moving to Toms River 15 was a retired seamstress. Born in Newburgh, N.Y., she lived in the Freehold area most of her life. Surviving are a nephew, Arnold Tanner, Naples, a niece, Hel-ene Quinn Nippold, Los Angeles; two great-nephews, Gregory Reynolds, Howell, and David Tanner, North Attleboro, and two great-nieces, Linda Hill, Trenton, and Melissa Rainieri, Freehold Township. Calling hours are from 7 to 9 p.m.

ERNESTINE SOPHIE PATTERSON, 76, of english- TOWN, died Friday at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. She was a leader of Girl Scout Troop 537, and a member of the Englishtown Fire Department Auxiliary and American Legion Post 434 Auxiliary, all of Englishtown. Born in Newark, she lived there before moving to Englishtown 48 years ago. Surviving are her husband, Philip Harvey; a son, Philip H. Howell; three daughters, Diana Richardson, Freehold, Alice Strong, Jackson, and Sheryl Wood, Washington, N.C.; a sister, Ruth Hagney, West Palm Beach, and 12 grandchildren.

Calling hours are from from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Freehold. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.

CLIFFORD A. STILL, so.ofNEP- TUNE, died July 18 at home. He was a truck driver for more than 40 ing after 15 years. She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, Red Bank. She was a Girl Scout leader and designed custom made drapery and curtains for many years serving a large area.

Born in Paterson, she lived in Red Bank and Midland Park before moving to Shrewsbury in 1970. Her daughter, Barbara Elizabeth, died in 1976. She also was predeceased by her father, John Neill, and her mother, Gladys Zimmerman Neill. Surviving are her husband, William a son, William Little Silver; two daughters, Victoria A. Curtis, Long Branch, and Melissa M.

ELMA RANDOLPH DIANA, of MANASQUAN, died Friday at the Claremont Center, Point Pleasant. Her family was one of the original founding families of South Plain-field.

The Randolph family settled in a section of Piscataway in 1690 which later became South Plain-field. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, South Plainfield; Daughters of the American Revolution and General Society of the Mayflower Descendants, both formerly of Plainfield, and the South Plainfield Senior Citizens. Born in South Plainfield, she lived there all of her life before moving to Manasquan three years ago. Her husband, Frank died in 1969, and a son, L. Donald, died in 1995.

Surviving are two sons, Frank B. and G. Russell, both Manasquan; eight grandchildren; and 20 great viving are a daughter and her husband, Judith V. and Robert King, Oakhurst, Ocean Township, and one sister, Jessie Weirman, Manasquan. Funeral services are private.

Reilly Funeral Home, Eight Avenue and Street, Belmar, is in charge of arrangements. JAMES P. WERSE. 65, of Port Monmouth, MIDDLETOWN, died yesterday at home. He was a lineman for Jersey Central Power and Light Company, now GPU, Farm-ingdale, for 30 years, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the IBEW Union and BPOE Elks Lodge 2179, Port Monmouth. He graduated from Red Bank Catholic High School. He was a communicant of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth, Middletown. Born in Red Bank, he lived in Port Monmouth all of his life. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward, and a sister, Gloria Charnofsky.

Surviving are his wife, Roberta Sheridan Werse; a son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Meme, Fort Lauderdale, a daughter, Ellen Boate, Mount Dora, and four grandchildren, Nick, Stacy, Jamie and Jack. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tin-dall Road, Middletown.

She was a retired bookkeeper for Textron Company in New Jersey. She was a parishioner of St. Catharine's Roman Catholic Church, Spring Lake. Born in Newark, she lived in South Orange before moving to Spring Lake in 1954. Her brother, Lucian Zera, died in 1980.

Surviving are a brother, Stanley Zera, Spring Lake; a sister, Anne Pietrucha, Sea Girt; two nieces, Dorothy Pietrucha, Sea Girt, and Joanne Freeman, Springfield; a nephew, Raymond Pietrucha, Brick; and one great-niece, Elizabeth Martin, Sea Girt. ESTELLE FRIEDLANDER BIEDERMAN, of manasquan, died yesterday at Claremont Care Center, Point Pleasant. She worked for the E.P. Dutton Publishing New York, for 23 years, retiring in 1981. Born in Brooklyn, she lived there before moving to Manasquan in 1989. Her husband, Milton, died in 1977.

Surviving are a son, David Goldberg, Brooklyn; two daughters, Linda Clayton, Manasquan, and Sharon Scognamiglio, Washing-tonville, N.Y.; a sister, Shirley Goldstein, Del Ray Beach, and seven grandchildren. Box 6908, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648, would be appreciated. PAULINE ALBRIGHT BROSS 97, of SHREWSBURY, died July 12 at Sunnyside Manor, Manasquan. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Red Bank. She graduated valedictorian from Woodbury High School in 1920.

Born in Woodbury, she lived in Red Bank in 1937 and Shadow Lake from 1974 until 1994 before moving to Shrewsbury. For many years, she maintained a residence in Clearwater, Fla. Her husband, Frederick died in 1972, and she was predeceased by her father, state senator and state treasurer, the Honorable William H. Albright, and her mother, Ella Boo-gar Albright. Surviving are a daughter, Margaret Albright Conklin, Shrewsbury, and a cousin, Dr.

Monday at the funeral home. Interment at Sylvan Abby Memorial Park, Clearwater, Fla. HELEN J. TAYLOR BYRDE, 89, of T1NTON FALLS, died Friday at home. She worked at Leon Cleaners, Red Bank, for many years, retiring in 1972.

She was an associate member of the Fisk Chapel A.M.E. Church, Fair Haven. She was known affectionately as "Nana the cop" by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Helen Byrde was a strong, independent, hard working woman, whose main concern was for the well being of her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Born in Eatontown, she lived in Lincroft and Eatontown before moving to Tinton Falls 15 years ago. Her husband, James died in 1940, and sons, Donald Byrde, in 1963, and Edward Taylor, in 1988. She was also predeceased by her father, Alfred Taylor, and her mother, Carrie Longo Taylor. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Carolee L. and Howard Young, Tinton Falls; a daughter-in-law, Zeppora Taylor, Newark, 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many friends and a host of nieces and nephews.

Going home service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Fisk Chapel A.M.E., 38 Fisk Fair Haven. Relatives and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until service time. Cremation services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

JOHN ROBERT M00NEY, 74, of Long Neck, formerly of NEPTUNE, died Friday of leukemia at Veterans Administration Hospital, Wilmington, Del. He was a retired commander of the New Jersey Marine Police. He was a Navy veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific aboard the USS Pathfinder.

He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2639, Neptune. Born in Neptune, he lived in Palm Bay, for nine years before moving to Long Neck in 1995. He was predeceased by his parents, Wesley D. Mooney and Esther Mooney Maas. Surviving are his wife, Carol Commander Mooney; daughter, Sharon Pentz, Longwood, two sons, Michael and John and a brother, Charles, Oakhurst, Ocean Township.

Surviving are his wife, Connie In-sana Nocera; a son, Michael, at home; his mother, Ann, Brooklyn; a brother, Michael, Maopac, N.Y.; and a sister, Diane Misaraca, Brooklyn. She 7 1 years ago. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Helen Mankiewicz Christensen; two daughters, Patricia Wiss, Old Bridge, and Christine Christensen and husband, Walter Kaeli, Byram; two sisters, Erna Bider, Holmdel, and Frances Consgrove, Mount Tabor; and two grandchildren, Adam and Sarah Kaeli. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, New Brunswick. She was a volunteer for the Cares Project at Crestwood and the Lighthouse Program, Toms River.

Born in New Brunswick, she lived in South River, New Brunswick, Highland Park and Englishtown before moving to the Crestwood Community in Whiting in 1978. Her husband, Milton R. died in 1978. Surviving are four sons, Russell Bayvilie, Berkeley, Elmer Long Valley, Milton R. Pine Beach, and James Beachwood; two daughters, Ru-thann Dey Lemoyne, Groveland, and Dorothy J.

She was a bookkeeper for many years, first at Shore Restaurant Equipment Asbury Park, and then retiring from Adam Equipment Eatontown. Born in East Rutherford, she lived in Point Pleasant for more than 50 years, with a winter home in Port Carlos Cove, Fort Myers Beach, Fla. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Charles; a son, David, Clen-nings, two daughters, Judith Lechner, Point Pleasant, and Nancy Johnson, Howell; a sister and two brothers; grandchildren, Michael Johnson, Meredith Moore, Christopher Johnson, David Lechner, Kerry Glover, Erin Glover, David Glover, Amanda Glover, Andrew Glover, and Patrick Glover, and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be private. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arney-town. ANDREW F. TR0CCHIA. 78, of RED BANK, died Friday at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch.

He retired from IBEW Local 400, Wall, where he was an electrician. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II from 1943 until 1946.

Born in San Giu-seppi, Italy, he was a lifelong resi- dent of Red Bank. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Trocchia, and his mother, Carmela Casillo Trocchia. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Mildred Phillips Trocchia; a son, Andrew Fair Haven; two daughters, Patricia Garlipp, Long Branch, and Diana Pitsch, Brick; two brothers, Dominic, Little Silver, and Salvatore, West Long Branch; four sisters, Lena Rettagliatta, Aberdeen, Josephine Brown, Red Bank, Ann Hall, Carlsbad, and Frances DeAr-mond, Alexandria, and eight grandchildren, Christopher, Erin, Ricky, Matthew, Drew, Robbie, Elizabeth and Danny. She graduated from Manasquan High School and Rider College, Lawrenceville. She was an avid gardener and cook. Born in Spring Lake Heights, she lived there before moving to Belmar 50 years ago. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick W. in 1993; three brothers, Howard, Willard and Benjamin Pearce, and one sister-in-law, Louise V.

She worked for the Asbury Park Press, Matawan Key-port Journal, Perth Amboy Evening News, Red Bank Register, Home News of New Brunswick and Daily Record of Long Branch. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and a member of Chapter of Catholic Daughters of America.

Born in the Bronx, she lived there before moving to Matawan 66 years ago. Her husband, Paul died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Paul Matawan; a daughter, Patricia E. Lent, Cherry Hill; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation from 7 to 9 p.m.

Born and raised in New i --i-Jf1'- ROSE SHARON SCHAEFER BES0SA, 53, of WARETOWN, died Thursday at Southern Ocean County Hospital, Stafford. She was principal investigating clerk for the Ocean County Board of Election, Toms River, for 10 years. She was a member of Waretown United Methodist Church, and its bell and voice choir.

She was a member of the Democratic Club of Waretown, and was the Democratic committee-woman for District 1. Born in Portland, Maine, she lived in Wood-bridge before moving to Waretown 14 years ago. Her son Kenneth Wludyka died in 1998. Surviving are her husband, Edward Besosa; three sons, Frank R. Wludyka, Wilkes-Barre, and Matthew R.

and Daniel L. Wludyka, both of Waretown; a daughter, Hope A. Hewitt, Woodbridge; a stepson, Edward A. Besosa III, Phoenix; her father, Henry Schaefer, Atlantic Highlands; three brothers, Wayne Schaefer, Boca Raton, Butch Schaefer, Plainsboro, and Kenneth Schaefer, Perth Amboy; and five grandchildren, Brianna Rose Wludyka, Rebecca Yunckes, and Constance, Joseph Jr. and Cody Hewitt.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Toms River. A funeral service will be offered 10 a.m.

Monday at Waretown United Methodist Church, 27 Bryant Road, Waretown. Entombment will follow in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River. IRENE E. BROWN, 73, of point PLEASANT, died yesterday at Lau-relton Village Nursing Home, Brick. She retired in 1984 as a meat cutter at the Foodtown, Point Pleasant Beach.

Born in Mahanoy City, she moved to Point Pleasant in 1958. Surviving are her husband, Arthur; a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Jr. and Jackie, Wyoming, a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Russell Lindner, Point Pleasant; four brothers, Mickey, Joseph, Edward and Andy Sabol, all Pennsylvania; three sisters, Helen Capiga, Dorothy Levy and Elizabeth Rose, all of Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association or to the American Services Additional Information card of thanks STAT RALPH We wish to thank acknowledge all our friends who offered condolences such consolation on the passing of Ralph Stat, husband father.
