Edgar Sherman, president, reviewed the year's accomplishments and pointed out that the members had given a dinner for the Board of Education last fall at Beau-Rivage and had pre-lian, sented the Manasquan Chorus in a concert last week. The Association has also worked closely with the NJEA and the Monmouth county organization and had helped other local groups in working on salary schedules. Miss Mary Jordan reported $130 realized on the concert and said half of that will be given to the Manasquan Women's Chorus. Chauncey Oakley, who sold the most tickets, was given a free membership for next year. Holy Spirit Pupils See City Sights Thirty members of School, the eighth grade of Holy Spirit this city, had their annual class trip to New York yesterday.

The trip was made by bus. After stopping for lunch at Howard Johnson's Restaurant, Elizabeth, the group visited St. Patrick's Cathedral, television and radio studios, saw the show at Radio City Music Hall, dined at Broadway restaurant, and attended the Kate Smith television show last night. They were accompanied by Mrs. Joseph Trad and Robert Rischmann, class mothers; Mrs.

North, daughter of Mrs. Elsie North, 52 Ballard Drive, Wanamassa, N.J., will be graduated in June from the Temple University School of Nursing.

She has been class treasurer during her senior year. Miss North is a graduate of Asbury Park High School and attended New Jersey College for Women for one year before going to Temple. Among seniors to receive degrees at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, is Joseph T. Oxley, 242 Joline Avenue, Long Branch, who will receive a bachelor of science in education degree. To Seek More State Aid RED BANK- campaign to obtain more state aid for schools was announced at the meeting of the Board of Managers the Monmouth County Council of Parents and Teachers Monday at River Street School. Members of local groups will be asked to write Governor Driscoll to appoint a man to succeed John Bosshart, state commissioner of education, with the same general qualifications and interest in education that Mr.

Bosshart had. William Pazicky, principal of the host school, spoke on the Hightstown meeting of the Kellogg Foundation when plans for the study of nutrition among school, George children G. was King, announced. retiring president, announced the school of instruction Wednesday at Bradley Beach. Mrs.

Rebecca White and Mrs. Fred Bedle will be in charge of registration. Mrs. Frank Hayden recommended as additions to the board: Mrs. S.

The executive committee will meet June 23 at the home of Mrs. Charles Stillwagon, Little Silver. The Board of Managers will convene Aug. 23 at the home of Mrs. Jack Preston, Middletown.

The annual president's meeting has been set for Sept. 7. Refreshments were served by the River Street School PTA under the direction of Mrs. George Predmore, president. Summerfield Installs The Summerfield Parent-Teacher Association installed new officers at its final meeting Monday night.

Mrs. George King, retiring president of the Monmouth County Council of Parents and Teachers, installed Mrs. James Evers as president; Mrs. H. Walton Estlow and Mrs.

Gordon Williams, vice presidents; Mrs. Fred Maier, resecretary; Mrs. Arthur Turner, corresponding secretary, and Mrs. William Gillan, treasurer. Allen Jones, principal, presented a past president's pin to Mrs.

Russell Schmid. Miss Helen Quering, district clerk, and two members of the board of education were guests. Joseph White and Kenneth Traphagen, the board members, spoke on the problems and duties of the board. Mrs. Andrew Frevert read the history of the year's activities of the organization which she had compiled.

Refreshments were served after the meeting by the 8th grade mothers. Summer School Discussed ENGLISHTOWN Plans were completed for a summer school when the PTA of Our Lady of Mercy-St. Joseph's parishes met in the Englishtown Church auditorium Monday night. A report was given concerning the communion breakfast served all the children of Our Lady of Mercy Church who recieved their First Holy Communion May 4. Plans are being made to serve communion breakfast to the children who receive their First Communion at the St.
