Four groups of students were heard on the program, the All-Girl choir, the Madrigal Singers, the Choristers and the Organ class. The All-Girl choir opened the program with a group of six selections, four of which were compositions of the old masters. These included "I Attempt from Love's Brahms, the "Chorus of the Philistines" by Saint-Saens, "Iris" by Daniel Wolf and "Holiday Song" by William Schuman. Next on the program were the Madrigal Singers, who presented five selections. These included two sea chanties, "Shanandoah" and "Swansea Town," Edward Elgar's" As Torrents in Summer," the liturgical composition "Nunc Di-mittis" by Alexander Archangel-sky, and "Down in the Flow'ry Dale" by Constantius Festa.

The tavern owners group, which has pressed regularly for the lengthening of liquor business hours, last month presented a petition to the committee which asked for a 5 a.m. closing hour on weekends and a 3 a.m. weekday closing hour during summers.

-At present, the closing hour is 2 a.m. the year around. The tavern owners also asked to be allowed to open at 7 a.m. Sunday instead of noon as the ordinance now requires. Committeeman Woodlyne W.

Bowne made a motion that the township ordinance be amended to grant the requests of the tavern poprietors, but the motion died for lack of a second. Chairman Thomas Rathbone and Committeeman Eugene W. Smith, in opposing the motion offered by Mr. Bowne, said the proposition was not in the program was provided by students 50 percent.
