She was the beloved wife of John (Jack) C. Morris.

Clare was born In Jersey City, NJ to Martin Edna (Miller) White. She is the sister of the late Margaret Strohm, Martin J. White Robert White, Jane Leonard, and John White. Clare was a graduate of the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY with a BS in Nursing. She completed her clinical training at St.

Hospital in New York. Immediately following graduation she married her college sweet heart, Jack Morris. They were married for 62 years, setting an incredible example of love, faith, and devotion for their family. Together they were dedicated members of Holy Cross Parish, Rumson, NJ. As the mother of 11 children, Clare had the rare gift of making each of her children feel uniquely special.

Her sense of humor, love of life and nuturing spirit created a wonderful environment for her children and their many cousins and friends. She had a large circle of friends whom she greatly treasured, and enjoyed reading, gardening, tennis, golf, and a great game of bridge. Clare was a member of the Monmouth Beach Bath and Tennis Club, (NJ) Navesink Country Club, (NJ) and the Moorings Club, Vero Beach, Florida. She was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Morris Sharkey. She is survived by her sons daughters and their wives and husbands: Chris (Pam) Morris; Peggy (David) McGill; Andy (Maribeth) Morris; Liz (Henry) Bob and Kate Sharkey; Jeanne (John) Fried; Paul (Sally) Morris; Sarah Morris (Michael) Schutsky; Barbara (Bob) Mattone; Clare (Chris) Broderick; Richard (Jenna) Morris.

Clare adored her 24 grandchildren, grandchildren-in-law, great-granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. A wake will take place at Church of the Nativity 180 Ridge Road Fair Haven; NJ 07704 on Tuesday April 28, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8PM. Mass of Christian burial will take place at Church of the Nativity on Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 10 AM with interment to follow at St. Mausoleum and Cemetery in Sea Girt. Box 17090, Baltimore, MD 21297-0303 EDNA CLARE (WHITE) MORRIS AGE: 84 LITTLE SILVER Gladys M. Whilden, 98, went to be with the Lord, her Creator and Savior, on April 25, 2015. Born in Quinton, NJ, as the only child of Ellwood Zaccheus Rudolph and Anna Fisher Rudolph, she grew up in nearby Salem in a house built by her father. Graduating from Salem High School and Glassboro State College, she worked as a teacher prior to becoming a full time homemaker.

She and her husband, Dr. Charles Steelman Whilden, former local pastor and Ocean Grove Superintendent of Schools, lived in Allentown, Ocean Grove and Toms River. Active all her life as a volunteer, Mrs. Whilden served countless hours at both Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune and Community Hospital in Toms River, as well as at the Healthcare section of Harrogate in Lakewood, the retirement community where she resided since 1989. Gladys was a former Chairperson of the Ocean County Christian Club.

In addition, she was a member of the United Methodist Homes of New Jersey Board of Trustees and was honored by that organization as a of for her years of service. Following the death of her husband in 1968, Gladys joined the staff of the First United Methodist Church, Toms River as the Parish Visitor. An active member of her church, she served on several boards and committees including being President of the United Methodist Women. She was the founder of her Prayer and Share Ministry and was a delegate for many years at the Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church in NJ. All of her service out of her life-long faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Mrs. Whilden was a loving mother and grandmother to her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Dale C. and Carol Whilden and grandson and his wife Rev. Jordan D.

and Brittany Whilden. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, April 29 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. Carhart, 62, of Manasquan, beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend to all that knew him, passed away suddenly on April 25 at home.

Rob was born in Pompton Lakes, NJ and grew up in Spring Lake. He was a 1970 graduate of Manasquan High School, and served in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division. He was a retired iron worker from Metal Lathers Local 46 in New York City. He was a Eucharistic Minister with and a parishioner of St. in Point Pleasant Beach.

Rob enjoyed early rises, riding his Harley Davidson to the Manasquan Inlet, looking for UFOs, playing cards with his wife, pizza, calls to his daughters just to say playing trains with his grandson Cooper and snuggles with his granddaughter Sophie. He was an active part of the Sprin Lake Community Theater where he was affectionately known as He was a passionate lover of life that the room with his loud and infectious laugh. Rob was predeceased by his mother, Janet Carhart and his father, Joseph Carhart. He is survived by his lovin wife of 34 years, Shirley, his daughter Kara and her husband Chris Lovell, and his daughter Heather and her boyfriend Dave Imperato. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Cooper and Sophie.

Also survivin are his sister, Jill Carhart of Toms River and brother, Patrick Carhart of Gore, Oklahoma and his nieces and nephews. Viewing will be at Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35, Wall, on Tuesday from 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Church, 406 Forman Avenue, Pt.

Pleasant, on Wednesday at 10am. For more information and to leave tributes, visit www. OBrienFuneralHome.com. ROBERT J. CARHART MANASQUAN Patricia Oberdick Connolly, 56 of Red Bank passed away Friday April 24, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.

Trish is originally from Middletown, where she attended St Mary School and Mater Dei High School, later earning degrees at Brookdale Community College. She eventually moved to an old Victorian house in Red Bank, which she transformed to a decorator showcase. She was an interior designer and worked for Pereaux Interior Design in Summit, as well as establishing and managing their Asbury Park Studio. most prized possession, after her relationship with her family and friends, was her membership at the Ship Ahoy Beach Club, where she reigned as the Hostess of Cabana from opening day in the spring till closing in the fall. Trish enjoyed employing her green thumb both inside her home and outside in her beautiful gardens.

She was creative with crafts, and every holiday was preceded by a craft extravaganza she held for the neighborhood kids, marked by glue guns and tons of glitter. She also volunteered, on the spur of the moment cooking for victims of Sandy, and at the Sisters Academy library in Asbury Park. Trish is survived by her husband Tom, daughter Brooke and son Shane, and her Oberdick family of a Sister (Kathleen and husband John Byrnes) and ve Brothers (William and wife Barbara; Ronald; James and wife Jan; Robert and wife Barbara Peyser; and Michael), her Connolly family of Father and Mother (John and Lillian) and two Sisters (Melinda and husband Bill Shea; and Anna Mae and husband Edward and four Brothers (John Henry; Robert and wife Janet; Paul; and Patrick), her many nephews and nieces, as well as her countless friends, especially her three life-long friends from Maplewood Noreen Nacarri, Annie Radz, and Diane Spalding. The family will receive friends at the John Day funeral home, 85 Riverside Red Bank, NJ from 3 to 8 on Tuesday, April 28. The funeral mass will be at St.

James RC Church, 94 Broad Red Bank, NJ on Wednesday, April 29 at 10:00, where Trish was a communicant. Please visit memorial website available at www. johnedayfuneralhome.com PATRICIA OBERDICK CONNOLLY Eileen Mayers Brophy, age 91, long time resident of Spring Lake, N.J., passed away peacefully on April 23, 2015, surrounded by her family. Eileen was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, and moved to Belleville, N.J.

at an early age. She graduated from Belleville High School in 1941 and also from Newark School for Secretaries in 1943. Eileen worked for the Prudential Insurance Company in Newark and played for their womens basketball team. Three years later she started working for Railway Express Agency and continued in railroad employment until her retirement in 1984. Eileen was a gentle and caring soul, full of life, love, passion and encouragement.

One of her passions was baking and cooking meals for family and friends with the promise of singing and harmonizing along with the guitar. She was predeceased by her husband, William J. Brophy, in 1998. She was also predeceased by her fa- ther, Perry B. Mayers, her mother, Nora A.

Kelly Mayers and three siblings, Perry, Dorothy and Peg. Her greatest joys in life were her sons and daughters, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Surviving are two sons, William J. Brophy and his wife Paula, of Keller, TX, and John Brophy and wife Susan Teschner, of Mount Pleasant, SC, and three daughters, Eileen Bernice and husband Chuck of Tinton Falls, NJ, Kathleen Degrassie and husband Damon of Point Pleasant, NJ and Dorothy Dwyer and husband Todd of Lake Como, NJ. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer (Zach), Carolyn (Neil), Pam (Allen), Jaclyn Jessica (Mike), Lauren (Frank), Morgan, Cassandra, Kaitlin, Billy, Joshua, Tyler, Calan, and great grandchildren Lauren, Gage, Corey, Cole, Jade, Frank, Henry, Gavin, Matthew, Megan, Dylan and Ava.

She leaves one sibling, Mitzi Caruso and a sister- in- law Eleanor Mayers and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Visitation will be on Monday 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35, Wall, N.J. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:30 AM at St. Catharine Catholic Church, 215 Essex Spring Lake, N.J. Cremation will be private.

BROPHY AGE: 91 SPRING LAKE Ann 77 of Toms River died Thursday April 23, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. Born in Newark she resided in Clifton for 23 years before moving to Toms River in 1995. She worked for RCA in Harrison for 10 years before retiring. She was a member of the Lake Ridge Italian Culture Club, Club and Bowling Club.

She enjoyed cooking as much as she did dinning out, jigsaw puzzles, collecting Thomas Kinkaid and watching General Hospital. In her youth she was a model and an avid roller skater. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Benjamin 2 brothers, Dr. Frank De Jianne Jr Donna Ray of Old Bridge, Dr Daniel De Jianne wife Dee of Brick, 2 sisters, Joan Murphy husband Joe of Manalapan and Jacqueline Sileo husband Martin of West Caldwell, and 14 nieces nephews and 14 great nieces nephews. Visitation is Sunday 1-5 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester.

DeBenedetto, 82, of Jackson NJ, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015, at home.

He was born in Orange, NJ, and resided in Edison, NJ, before settling in Jackson 17 years ago. Ralph was a Global Technician for RCA in Piscataway, NJ. He was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was active in the Italian American Club, Jackson, NJ. He was predeceased by his Parents, Ralph and Rose DeBenedetto; his Wife, Maria DeBenedetto in 2000; and by his Brothers, Domenic, Anthony, and Joseph; and his Sisters, Mary Tarantino and Cetta Cardone.

He is survived by his Son, Mark DeBenedetto and his Wife, Tami of Lewistown, PA; his Daughter, Gina Forcella and her Husband, Ernest of Parlin, NJ; his Brother, Michael DeBenedetto and his Wife Patricia of Emerson, NJ; his Sister Londie Gigantelli of Inverness, FL; and his ve grandchildren. DEBENEDETTO AGE: 82 JACKSON TWP. Nancy Elizabeth Grove (Kohl), 73, of Bayville, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born June 26, 1941 in Hartford, CT to the late Daniel Carl Kohl and Dorothy Harff Kohl. She resided in Union until moving to Pine Beach in 1965. She received her BS from Kean University.

She enjoyed a 30 year long teaching career in the Berkeley Township School District until her retirement in 1994. Nancy was a congregant of the Forked River Presbyterian Church where she served as a deacon and participated in numerous mission groups. She worked tirelessly collecting clothing donations for Your Cupboard, an organization close to her heart. During her free time, she enjoyed reading, writing, nature walks, baking, gardening, crafting, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved summers on Ortley Beach and camping in Bar Harbor, ME.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles Alan Grove. She is survived by her sister Janis and wife Yolanda; her brother Daniel and wife Sharon; son Eric Grove and girlfriend Rachael Baum; her daughter Karalyn Fallat and husband Paul; her beloved grandchildren Colin and Emerson Fallat; and her dog and faithful sidekick Guinnie. All of these people were great sources of pride, happiness and love. A memorial service will be held at Tuesday April 28 at Forked River Presbyterian Church, 131 N. Main Forked River, NJ, 08731.

In lieu of owers, contributions in memory may be made to an animal shelter of choice, Your Cupboard or the Berkeley Township Educational and Environmental Program Foundation, a group which raises funds for the annual Stokes State Forest trip, a tradition for which Nancy was very passionate.
